I wasn't able to join the military because of it. I tried calling up my local PD and asking the source itself. Not only did they not know the answer (I'm shocked too trust me), they said I had to pass a medical test AFTER I go through all the prerequisites. So I'm asking here before I dedicate myself.

Donald Trump is starting to grow weary of the ongoing controversies plaguing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, according to a new report.

While the president has stood by Hegseth in public, he has shown less enthusiasm behind closed doors, The Atlantic reported Friday, citing several unnamed sources familiar with White House discussions.

“[Trump] is starting to tire of the scandals surrounding Hegseth and does not push back when others suggest Hegseth is not up for the job, an outside adviser to the White House and a former senior administration official told us,” The Atlantic reported.

An unnamed senior administration told the outlet it’s been a “rough week for Pete.”

To me, someone who celebrates a bit more of the spectrum than most: Metal hot. Make food hot.

Non-stick means easier cleanup, but my wife seems to think cast-iron is necessary for certain things (searing a prime rib roast, for example.).

After I figure those out, then I gotta figure out gas vs. electric vs. induction vs infrared....

Finnish company Jolla started out 14 years ago where Nokia left off with MeeGo and developed Sailfish OS as a new Linux smartphone platform. Jolla released their first smartphone in 2013 after crowdfunding but ultimately the Sailfish OS focus the past number of years now has been offering their software stack for use on other smartphone devices. But now it seems they are trying again with a new crowd-funded smartphone.

Sailfish OS has supported a number of Sony Xperia smartphones and a variety of OnePlus / Samsung / Google / Xiaomi devices and more maintained by the community. Last year Jolla also announced an "AI computer" as part of the AI hardware craze. Now though they are apparently trying again at their own in-house smartphone.

The Interior Department has ordered national parks to review and remove gift shop items related to diversity, equity and inclusion.

This directive is part of a broader effort to keep park gift shops as "neutral spaces that serve all visitors."

The order follows executive actions by Donald Trump targeting DEI programs across the federal government.

National parks have been ordered to check their gift shops for items that support programs like diversity, equity and inclusion – and remove them.

Do we really need West and South when we can use negative North and negative East?

In lieu of careful analysis of the campaign’s legality, detailed rationales for the boat strikes and explanations of why they couldn’t be done with more traditional methods, we get Mr. Hegseth posting an image of himself with laser eyes and video after video of alleged drug traffickers being killed. The cartoon turtle is just one example in an avalanche of juvenile public messaging about those we kill. I suspect the question the administration cares about is not “is this legal,” “is this a war crime,” “is this murder” or even “is this good for America,” but rather, “isn’t this violence delightful?”

(Washington DC) Friday the trump administration announced that vacancies created Wednesday on the White House Ethics Board would be filled by donors who support the effort to build new East Wing Ballroom. The first 3 people to pledge ten million dollars each will receive the positions. Gift donations are allowed.

The vacancies were opened after trump fired three board members earlier this week, citing disapproval of some of their findings regarding members of his administration. The ousted members are appealing the decision in court.

Members of Washington’s elite say the price of the seats is very reasonable, given the board’s responsibility to review questionable actions of the administration. One republican congressman noted that some bidders may look to re-sell the ethics seat to colleagues currently being reviewed by the board.

The first seat has already been assigned; Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud made the donation in the name of his grandchildren, saying he would allow them to rotate the position every six months. Trump congratulated the new appointees by phone.

Americans are disappointed the seats are being sold to foreign leaders. Leo Sturbgetter, a cow detangler in Richmond, Virginia, said: “I just wish maybe it could have been a lottery, so I’d have a shot at it. I really like ethics foods, and this would have been a great chance to try some.”

What is sold as culture today is just that: a product; a derivative of humanity, sold by the world's most successful companies as a hollow substitute, but one that sells like hotcakes.

A New Jersey high school announced a socialist club for students amid conservative fears for the rise of socialism across the country

'Workers of the world, unite!' read the poster advertising the new club at Highland Park High School.

The club claimed to offer students an opportunity to learn about socialism and 'ways to solve social problems that don't involve exploiting the working class.'

The flyer used a picture of German philosopher Karl Marx with the words 'we want you to help us build a better world.'

The club held their first meeting on December 4. Students were also promised an opportunity to 'learn media literacy skills along the way.'

Recent studies show that socialism is rising in popularity among young people.

A survey done by the Cato Institute suggested that 62 percent of people aged 18 to 29 have a positive view of socialism.
