You can choose which part you want, however where exactly is random based on the birth rate (if a region has a higher birth rate it is more likely that you are born there). What part would you choose and why?

Beat meat to it!

[–] dmention7@midwest.social 18 points 5 hours ago (3 children)

I can't tell if everyone else got whooshed, or if we're getting whooshed.

[–] ving_thor@lemmy.world 6 points 5 hours ago

I was also wanderying that nobody commented it yet...

[–] Soapbox@lemmy.zip 4 points 4 hours ago

This thread caused me to look up WTF y'all were talking about, and yeah... It does look like it's a whoosh. But I suspect a lot of people are like me and had no idea what loss.jpg is and have never seen it before.

Holy shit that's a sneaky one

[–] JASN_DE@feddit.org 69 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

K seems like the "safest" option.

[–] Lembot_0004@discuss.online 21 points 6 hours ago (6 children)

Flying venomous poisonous 48-legged spider-roo might change your opinion.

[–] JASN_DE@feddit.org 10 points 5 hours ago

No one said anything about having to stay there, and Australia-only at least basically guarantees the option, unlike let's say many African countries.

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 9 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

They seem to do fine in spite of it, honestly. And no large predators of any kind.

[–] Lembot_0004@discuss.online 5 points 4 hours ago

They

Flying venomous poisonous 48-legged spider-roos? Yeah, they feel fine...

:)

There's not a lot* of dangerous critters in that part of Australia, most of them live further north.

No mass shootings though

K is the only area you're guaranteed to be born into a first world country, therefore giving you better passport privilege to move where you want to go if you don't like it.

[–] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Monkey paw, you get born as a fish, and spawn-captured/killed immediately.

Yeah but you might be born as an aboriginal tribe member, which the Australian government isn't exactly the nicest towards.

I'm at a loss.

[–] aislopmukbang@sh.itjust.works 22 points 5 hours ago (3 children)

G. Just drop me in the ocean man I want out

[–] hansolo@lemmy.today 4 points 4 hours ago

You were born a tuna! Yay!

[–] NoForwardslashS@sopuli.xyz 4 points 4 hours ago

Congratulations, you now live on Moruroa.

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 4 hours ago

It might be a decent option, I guess. Island countries aren't rich but they have some advantages in other areas. Personally knowing the president sounds cool.

[–] socsa@piefed.social 21 points 1 hour ago

K is honestly the only truly safe option.

G. Be among the first to be eaten by Dread Lord Cthulhu when He awakens.

[–] als@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Or you're just born on an airplane

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 5 points 4 hours ago

Which is a good deal, honestly. Air passengers are heavily selected for at least moderate wealth.

[–] proti@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

why not both?

Gotta go with B. The US might be shit and you might be out of luck in Mexico too. But you'll still be able to earn enough to emigrate somewhere else.

E would be close second for me. China, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand aren't bad. But you might get unlucky and end up in Burma.

[–] scoop_vii@lemmy.world 9 points 4 hours ago

B contains mostly lower population areas in the US and Canada, if you go with B you're almost definitely gonna be in Mexico.

A is interesting, you have a good chance of being in the US/Canada or western Europe, but it also contains a fair portion of heavily populated areas in western Africa that might not be ideal.

[–] Lyra_Lycan@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago) (1 children)

At least the US is big enough that you can still fuck off to live outside of governance if you wanted. Free life is a pipe dream

I guess K is the least risky option

Remeber kids, bad humans are far more dangerous than scawwwy Australian animals

[–] TheLeadenSea@sh.itjust.works 8 points 5 hours ago

That's a really interesting question! I admire the creativity :)

I think it would have to be K though, as that includes Australia and New Zealand, so no chance of being born in a developing country, unlike the others. I assume the Polynesian islands are not too great to live in, but idk.

K. Coincidentally, I was actually born in K.

[–] magic_lobster_party@fedia.io 7 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

K. Australia is quite chill.

The swooping magpies might be an issue though.

G would be safe. I would be even more morbidly obese than I already am, but I would be safe. (If I would spawn on an island)

[–] spittingimage@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Weather is a bigger threat than you might realise in the G region.

Looking at this chart I realise once again that I maybe didn't win the lottery but got most of the numbers right.

C. It contains China's eastern seaboard which is the dominant prosperity region of this century. The stable long term planning and responsible investment into people is unrivalled and only beginning to pay back return on that investment.

K is probably most likely to be a good life. B is my second choice.
