Or an admission, they just lie about who they're talking about

[–] BrazenSigilos@ttrpg.network 5 points 1 week ago

Woah woah woah, this about chemtrails? I can't believe I'm even surprised, really, but how can these idiots be focused on this rather then literally any of the actual issues that people are facing right now?

That's a rhetorical question, I already known the answer is they want to handwave away real issues and only focus on the theater issues they themselves create to generate outrage.

But I mean, they want to outlaw the imaginary chemtrails? Didn't have that on my apocalyptic bingo card.

The issue some of us take with that is no, we did not all decide we needed more racism and hate. In fact, more and more evidence is being found that shows the entire thing was rigged, and the true majority decision was not acknowledged by the folks who had mostly been behind the scenes before.

Unfortunately the country I was born in, the USA, is also one that voted against the international resolution to define food as a human right. 😕

Your right, I double checked the number and I misremembered, it should be ⅗ not ⅕.

Yeah, not surprised at the Orange Blunder finding a way to bring back slavery. Oh his cronies will think up a different name for it, but soon these poor people will be segregated and counted as ⅗ of a person for purposes of population counting when drawing up political districts.

At this rate we are going to end up with Civil War 2 Electric Boogaloo before Christmas...

Edit: Correction of fractions, the historical amount was ⅗, not ⅕.

Your right, I will make that correction. I get numbers mixed up sometimes.

I mean, no need for a warrant means no need for a warning.

Will that have consequences? Absolutely, possibly deadly ones. But if they want to pull people out of homes and put them into concentration camps, that's a reason to use the 2nd amendment.

Edit: Corrected 2nd Amendment, was 4th Amendment, because I have issues remembering numbers sometimes.

Friend, your guild idea already exists. It's just called a Union in the current day. Many trades already operate this way, from the Carpenters Union to the Iron Workers Union. There's even a Teamsters Union. The different name doesn't change the work they do. White- collar hand much less representation with collective solidarity, but that can be fixed by starting a Union at your local work place. I won't tell anyone it's easy, but it's worth putting in the work. A great example is the Starbucks unions that have popped up in the last few years. The reason you don't see more unions is because employers are terrified of them, and want to continue to freely exploit the workforce through fear.

While I agree with getting rid of at-will policies, I disagree with one part of your idea. Why would I ever want to indenture myself to 5 years with the same employer? How would unions be handled? How about strikes? What about health insurance benefits?

Frankly, unions already solve alot of the problems with at-will employment, and should be protected by law rather then systemically stripped away.
