That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Who is going to protect him from his own security personnel?

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 57 points 5 days ago

Hopefully no one.

[–] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 42 points 5 days ago

Hopefully he just vets them by asking grok "should I hire these guys"

[–] Stovetop@lemmy.world 38 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Someone should send him a historical overview of Rome's Praetorian Guard.

[–] tourist@lemmy.world 31 points 5 days ago (1 children)

please don't do that

send it to the bodyguards instead

[–] Stovetop@lemmy.world 11 points 5 days ago

I just want him to feel like he can never trust anyone. No matter how much he pays his bodyguards, it would only take someone else offering a few of them just a little bit more to get him out of the way.

Yeah, 20 is about the point at which you’re actually making it easier for a nut job with a gun to get access to you.

Elon Musk, father of 14 children was basically never seen with his kids until a CEO was shot. Now he always travels with at least one portable meat shield.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 56 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Father of 14 known children. The down low is apparently he pays women one million dollars to bear his child and she has to sign a non-disclosure agreement that she won't tell people it is his baby.

He is on record saying he wants to make a legion. That is around five thousand babies. He is one of the richest men in the world so this is within his reach. I am going to go throw up now.

Is the human shield kid a security professional too? By the time he's 18 he will have 16 years of bodyguard experience, the perfect employee just like in those entry level job ads.

[–] ThrowawayPermanente@sh.itjust.works 38 points 5 days ago (1 children)

For legal purposes he's a volunteer

[–] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 33 points 5 days ago (1 children)

For tax purposes, he's office equipment.

[–] boydster@sh.itjust.works 13 points 5 days ago (1 children)

For balance sheet purposes, he's "Security Supplies (generic)"

Aspirationally kill. What a fucking turd of a human Elon is.

[–] Lumidaub@feddit.org 17 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

The people who wanted to "aspirationally" kill him were also "homicidal". This is valuable contextual information that tells the reader(/listener) additional things about the circumstances that they may not have realised before which gives them more insight into the situation so they can comprehend it better. Em dash.

[–] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 13 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 children)

It gives context from an unreliable source, placing emphasis on him as a victim rather than the cause of the asymmetric living conditions that his lifestyle causes.

Good. Stay lonely with the gang of dudes you have to pay to hang around you and whose only job is to keep people away from you.

I just went to see a movie with a big group of friends and now getting a burger, before tonight I work on a creative project with some other friends who all really respect and appreciate each other's talents.

Something this fascist freak will never have.

“Foundation Security” 🙄

Probably related to the Foundation series from Isaac Asimov and Musk’s absurd idea that he is remotely a figure in some such space story.

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 13 points 5 days ago (9 children)

iirc he's named after some space serial character. I do wish he'd just fuck off to space.

In the olden times, it was a big point of pride of American politics that a lot of people didn't want to kill the leaders. It was sort of assumed that in feudal style European politics, of course the common people kind of wanted to kill you, because you were threatening their safety and taking their stuff. In America, the way we did things was to earn the respect of the people you governed. The people actually wanted this person to be in charge. Why would I shoot that guy? That's who we picked, we like him.

Of course there are some caveats (slavery large among them). The reality never matched up to the ideal. But we're going back to where even the approximation of consent of the governed that we used to have, isn't assumed anymore. Fuckin bullshit

It's wild to me how Musk is proving (just like Trump is) how fundamentally weak and small he is.

Fred Rogers never had to travel with a single bodyguard.

Is it fair to call someone who wants to kill the richest Nazi in the world, who wants to destroy western democracy and rule the world, a maniac?

It is good to know this guy is terrified of the consequences of his own actions. I'm sure his hired meat shield will stop and mitigate some threats. I doubt they will stop and mitigate them all.

Is he still using his own child as a human shield?

[–] Opie1Smith@lemmy.today 11 points 4 days ago

He probably forgot him somewhere again

Capitalist scumbags live in golden prisons of their own making.

Meanwhile I can go almost anywhere on the planet alone without any major problems.

Imagine being such a loser that the only job you qualify for is taking a bullet for the worst member of the parasite class.

[–] peoplebeproblems@midwest.social 18 points 5 days ago (2 children)

What's alarming to me is that this shows me they don't experience fear. It sounds like to them, it's an inconvenience.

So if they can't be motivated by fear, are they actually motivated by money?

I don't think so. I think they're motivated by power. Wealth has no meaning to them - you can observe the behaviors of a lot of them (with like extremely rare exceptions and they are usually the only ones not born into wealth) and they don't match up with enjoying life.

They don't seem to experience joy. So if they don't experience any emotion, that gives them a pretty concrete diagnosis of sociopathy doesn't it? So, we have the worst of the worst humans doing as much damage to the world as possible because they can't feel.

Honestly If I had that much money, I would be doing much more stupid shit.

[–] henfredemars@infosec.pub 14 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I would hope and expect you aren't nearly as evil as a billionaire who can easily solve problems for pocket change but chooses not to.

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 13 points 5 days ago (2 children)

They said "stupid", not "evil"

Although I'd argue that any billionaire not actively dumping the bulk of their wealth and influence to sort out world hunger, homelessness, and inequality is being evil.

Remember when UHC got shot, musk started using one of his children as a human shield. He would often hold the shield in front of him, Everytime he does a press release
