If you let the think happen, then the cry will come. Never again, never again.

It's a nice distraction from reality, and it's fun to comment and post and have people upvote or reply. Makes me feel a little less lonely. :)

Same. I'm stuck in an area where locals view me as an outsider, and loneliness is an ever-present threat. Scrolling is just one of the many ways I keep myself feeling human and connected to the larger world.

Hi! PROBLEM SOLVED. /s

But seriously, you can find a community with similar interests. There are lots of lonely people out here.. help solve each-others problem.

Discord gets a lot of shit, probably rightfully so, but it's genuinely helped me find a lot of casual connections that not just distracted me, but helped me learn more about something I like, or sometimes even somthing about myself.

Because I don’t want to give the boomer in line behind me at Costco an opportunity to start a conversation.

I come here to collect memes to share with my loved ones. Once I get ~5 at a time I stop ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe some country will drop a nuke, or a supervolcano erupts, or america will experience a surprise land invasion and when any major event like that happens I want to be one of the first to know.

Now it never has happened and it probably won't in my lifetime but don't tell my brain that.
