Well at lest he can't pull the Aljaksandr Lukašenka stunt and refuse to recognise the election result and have the Russian army march through the country when the people rise up.

Lemmy has been one of the best places online for toning down the American emphasis (although I think my blacklist keywords filters help a lot with that.... Highly recommended).
Lemmy has better European/Australian representation, but there isn't much Asian or African representation though.
Honestly no, I think it's worse here. I blocked so many communities because they're just about US politics, but that stuff is still everywhere, even in generic meme communities.
It's not even Americans talking about American politics either haha
Must be my filter list then..... 200 blocked communities (mostly porn though) and 50 blocked keywords.....and increasing.

I like how there's a post on shitposts asking if Lemmy is a CIA experiment to radicalise people into class warfare and then there's this post. When the CIA has been funneling money into American movies and TV since 1947 to make everything about America and how great it is.

Dude I live in the middle of the continent. I can drive for nearly 1,000 miles in any direction but north and still be in the US. not only is nearly everything about America for me, but I have nothing to do with anywhere else other than where the shit I buy comes from.
The people you need to bitch at are the enormous corporations expanding across the world like a cancer and the same federal government most of us hate too. You may have to put up with "everything being about America" but we're drowning in it, please send help.
