The domestic terrorist is in the White House.

[–] blimthepixie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 19 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

An anagram of 'domestic terrorist' is moist or restricted

Which probably applies to Trumpo

[–] PunkRockSportsFan@fanaticus.social 17 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

Gross. Now I’m thinking about his diapers.

Moist AND restricted.

Dudes got shit in his pants.

The call is coming from inside the (white) house!"

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 196 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

That seems like a huge inefficiency, DOGE should eliminate it.

Uh oh, it sounds like they want us to be inclusive of all cars.

[–] dan69@lemmy.world 7 points 17 hours ago

Why aren’t news outlets picking this up..

[–] Binky@lemmy.sdf.org 141 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

This really does illustrate the idea that police aren’t there to “serve and protect.” They are there to keep the common people in line so that the rich can stay safe.

[–] MrVilliam@lemm.ee 72 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

Mask off moment. Their purpose is to protect capital. The only crimes that cops prevent are through deterrence because they are crime punishers, not crime preventers.

[–] LilB0kChoy@lemm.ee 10 points 20 hours ago

they are crime punishers, not crime preventers.

This isn’t unique to the US. It is called law enforcement so even if it wasn’t a completely broken and horseshit system crime prevention would not be part of their purview.

You prevent/reduce crime by addressing the underlying societal issues that are contributing to it.

The police are there to protect the business interests of the richest man in the world.

They call regular people “terrorists” for daring to stand up to fascism in any small way.

They start a manhunt for the murder of the CEO of a health insurance company while ignoring the murders of countless regular people every day.

Private property is protected, while it’s been made illegal to be homeless.

What a sick and decrepit society.

[–] falynns@lemmy.world 9 points 7 hours ago

Police aren't here for for the common citizen, they're for sale to the highest bidder like everything else in this shit hole of United States of Capitalism. Fuck the police. ACAB.

Different article, but the picture just makes me so happy:

collapsed inline mediawe didn't start the fire

[–] CommissarVulpin@lemmy.world 38 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

If you set it on fire it makes a rainbow. There’s something profound in that.

Terrorism is scaring/harming people to manipulate government.

Tesla is neither government nor their property damage is scaring people.

More trumped-up charges.

(It is hilariously fitting Trump the man and Trump the word fit so gand-in-hand)

[–] northendtrooper@lemmy.ca 26 points 23 hours ago

Arson, its just arson.

[–] entwine413@lemm.ee 6 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

If you want to abstract it enough, hurting Tesla hurts musk, who unfortunately is the government.

Republicans doing things to stop people from destroying cars but not children in schools. “Family values” party.

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 17 points 20 hours ago

If Republicans could feel shame* I’m sure they’d be very upset.

There’s a website to track elons plane.

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 12 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (1 children)

What he gets really irritated about is the fact that you have to file a flight plan and that flight plan has to be public, because obviously otherwise it wouldn't work.

So anyone at any time can track his plane, and no matter how rich he is, there is fuck all he can do about it

[–] Saleh@feddit.org 10 points 9 hours ago

He could just take another form of transportation. There is no public records of cars driven or train tickets purchased.

He could even fly with normal airlines so there would be no public record of his flight.

In an alternate universe where the world is logical, insurrections are terrorism and firebombing teslas is patriotism.
