I don’t know if it’s unbelievable good or unbelievable bad from the title.

[–] cRazi_man@europe.pub 104 points 23 hours ago (3 children)

The important thing these days is: it must be Instagram worthy. That's all that matters.

You could say that's all that mattress? ... I..I show myself out

[–] Railcar8095@lemmy.world 29 points 22 hours ago (1 children)
[–] Monster96@lemmy.world 16 points 18 hours ago

No, that pun was sheet

[–] garbagebagel@lemmy.world 22 points 23 hours ago

The picture's not terribly Instagram worthy, but it looks like a really cool trip and I'd love to do that.

[–] tpyo@lemmy.world 3 points 17 hours ago

Ugh... Right.... Today I was at a place with my partner and a group of younger (not as in young, just younger than us) girls behind us. They were talking about some place they were familiar with and how cute it was, how they hadn't been there in so long

"That's like the most instagramable place ever!" I swear I could see the back of my skull, that's how hard my eyes rolled

Told my partner, "I guess we judge places by how instagram worthy they are.." Their reply, "so cringe"

Having gone through their post history, they're generally very appreciative of simple things and beautiful sights, so I'd assume unbelievably good =)

[–] Quilotoa@lemmy.ca 57 points 18 hours ago (4 children)

You are correct. I can't believe we actually did it. (We're back now.)

[–] slaacaa@lemmy.world 33 points 13 hours ago (3 children)

As long as you had fun, nothing else mattress

[–] troyunrau@lemmy.ca 7 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Daaaaad. Get off the internet

So did tell us about the muskitoes, were there nets?

[–] Quilotoa@lemmy.ca 19 points 8 hours ago

Yes, there were mosquito nets and no, they weren't bad. I barely noticed any. We're from Northern Canada so perhaps we are immune.

[–] MakingWork@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 hours ago

I just went through your post history too (Also from Northern Ontario).

I love your adventures! Hope you post more pictures.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 hour ago

How early did the boat traffic start? Was the place deserted enough to boink before bedtime?

[–] AnarchistArtificer@slrpnk.net 27 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

Wholesome internet stalking

(I use the word "stalking" in jest. I am amused because usually when one has cause to "stalk" a user's post history, it's because there's some drama or dirt that turns up. I always feel awkward and a bit vulnerable when I reflect on how people can peruse your post history at will, but I find the wholesomeness of this subverts the anxiety I usually feel at this prospect. It's scary that we can quickly find enough to summarise a person's online presence, but "generally very appreciative of simple things and beautiful sights" is a lovely thing to be, and makes me wonder how I would come across at a glance. Good, I hope — because it turns out that it is possible to have positive conversations with internet strangers)

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 7 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

Ironic that you should mention dirt and drama in one's post history when you're the same person who posted this:

What is your favourite autumn soup?

[–] SreudianFlip@sh.itjust.works 4 points 12 hours ago (2 children)
[–] raspberriesareyummy@lemmy.world 4 points 8 hours ago

I've cooked this! Successfully! Multiple times! Some even with homegrown Hokkaido pumpkins. And it was delicious. So proud ;)

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 2 points 8 hours ago

I'm not looking for any trouble, buddy.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Hmmm, I guess I never really thought to divide my soups by season.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

You're not gonna eat pumpkin soup in the summer!? Gazpacho in winter, God forbid!?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 hours ago (1 children)
[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Pardon my French, but you've lost your marbles.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 hours ago

Well I never...

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

More like snooping

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 22 hours ago (2 children)

I guess that depends on whether said orangutans are brachiators or swingers? 🤷🏼‍♂️

[–] RickyRigatoni@retrolemmy.com 10 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

Being swingers doesn't guarantee they'll wwnt to fuck OP though

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 17 hours ago

Ain't that always the hurdle w/ swingers, though. 😅😶‍🌫️

[–] Mpeach45@lemmy.world 2 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Probably matters more whether mosquitoes are a problem in that area.

[–] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

Hey, now. Don't kinkshame. Some people are totally into little pricks. 🤌🏼

[–] wulrus@lemmy.world 5 points 20 hours ago

Also depends on the community. Some would be like: OMG, obviously, the mattress cover has not been ironed!

[–] Flax_vert@feddit.uk 4 points 20 hours ago

Nah that's good. A proper mattress shouldn't be taken for granted outside of the west.
