Again, the point is that 1) The daughter has no sense of identity except for who her dad might be, and she's going to base her opinion and goals based on whoever he turns out to be, which is weak as shit, and 2) If you're going to fuck around, at least be a responsible adult about it, which the mother was not. I don't see the problem with that. Depending on what 'island' means, that could be a really nice time. Like, even if its a 'we must find water' situation, someone i have fond (if blurry) memories and a little intimacy with is a plus.
