Looking at her Twitter she is absolutely doubling down on there being 65 million illegal immigrants so... Probably stupid? Or just lying to piss off Republicans more. Or acting stupid to cover the racism.

Not even trying to be funny. They aren't mutually exclusive, because thinking that every Latino is illegal is pretty stupid.
The "nice try though" indicates to me that she's trying to say it's not race, but immigration status she's talking about. The fact that there aren't nearly that many illegals in the US notwithstanding, wanting over 10 times the number of people killed in the Holocaust dead is on-brand for them.

Not that she isnt as stupid as you think generally, but this is how they have always operated! Single out a subgroup it's okay to go after, inflate that group as you stir panic against them, take advantage of splash fear to identify the next subgroup until theyre pretty much all covered and people are used to doing atrocities against people like that.
