Nah you just don't get to use Mary's opinion as the final word on the matter.

I'm glad Mary speaks for all disabled people and we can finally put this topic to rest.

Writing this on a Pixel Fold...

The concerns about the screen fragility are overblown, I've been using this thing for a year now with no screen damage, no scratches, and the hinge is fine.. I run a cheap snap-on plastic case with no screen protector. There's a small scratch on the hinge itself from one of the many times I've dropped it.

It's nice to have a larger screen for videos and pictures. It's nice to be able to run two full-size apps at once, but Hearthstone + YouTube is really the only thing I ever use that feature for. It's nice for DS/3DS emulation, if you attach a controller. But for me personally, I don't feel I use it unfolded enough to justify the extra weight and thickness. I'll be going back to a slab phone when it's time to upgrade.

“I thought, 'Why is this a factor at all?' I wonder how J.K. Rowling has absorbed it. I suppose at a certain point I’ll meet her, and I’m curious to talk to her," he said.

"Decades in hell" for being a clueless, out of touch old man? Jesus Christ you people are unhinged. You fucking act like he's personally bankrolling her anti-trans crusade.

Is his estate run by raging racists?

Can't stand when people ask that. Get out of your media bubble and stop asking stupid questions.

If we read the article, we learn:

Tucked inside the 1,200-page appendix to the White House’s budget request to Congress is a proposal to eliminate a grant program, funded by the Agriculture Department and administered by the Department of Justice, that provides domestic violence shelters with money to support survivors’ pets. Advocates say the program, known as PAWS, helps fill a critical gap despite its relatively small budget of $3 million

So we see that it actually is a budget issue, nobody's issuing a directive saying animals are banned at these shelters -- the headline is misleading.

We also see that the proposed budget cut is $3 million, which works out to almost a whopping 2¢ per taxpayer in the US.
