I sure asked for that, huh? Lol.

Probably not technically slang, and maybe not even technically British, but I hate the all variations of "whinge". I know it's a real word, but it always feels like someone misspelling "whine". I was well into adulthood when I finally learned that though, so those feelings are just so ingrained in me at this point.
Thanks for listening to me whine.
The only communities that I still regularly browse on Reddit are the regional communities for the place I live currently and places I've lived previously. Those seem to have little to no activity around here. I no longer participate in them on Reddit, only lurk.
I believe I technically still have an account, but I have no clue what the password is, and I'm not about to give up more personal information just to delete it. I haven't used my FB account in years, and it was actually created for me by some friends back when Tinder still required a FB account.
There's also an IG account out there that I did create for myself more recently, but also haven't used in many years, and again, deleting the account feels like too much effort when I can just continue not using it.
I mostly try to avoid clicking any links to content on their platforms, but unfortunately a lot of people/businesses only exist on those platforms, plus some other volunteer work I do kinda requires it, so I do begrudgingly click them sometimes. Thankfully my closest friends have learned to send screenshots instead.
Probably because the bulk of the products tested were likely kids toothpastes.
Lead Safe Mama community members nominate products for laboratory testing and then the LSM community uses crowd-funding (including through GoFundMe) to raise the funds to cover the costs related to testing and reporting of these nominated products. This is how the toothpaste and tooth powder products listed in the chart below were chosen for testing, and how the testing and reporting was paid for.
Have you considered that you could be bisexual/pansexual?
So nothing actually exceeds current federal limits, and only a few exceed recently enacted state limits. Why do I have the strange feeling that nothing's actually going to change?

Ditto. My original account was on kbin.social, so it's not like I even have the option to use it anymore. I'm sure plenty of people started out on one of the big, general instances, then eventually moved elsewhere.
I don't believe they actively intended to exclude anyone, but there is/was Dull Men's Club, and I believe they've recently rebranded to "Dullsters".
Ugh, I indirectly feel your pain. I don't have the issue with cold, but just didn't enjoy the touch controls on any earbuds I've tried, so I'm stuck using my older, slowly falling apart earbuds with inline controls. The earbuds have a wire connecting the two buds, and there's a little lump of plastic along the wire with 3 buttons, but there's no wire connecting them to the device. Short press turns volume up, down, pause/play. It also has functions mapped to long press and double press for things like next/previous, assistant, and I forget what else.
It's super hard to find any headphones lately that are Bluetooth, but still have a wire connecting the two ear pieces, and therefore a spot for the inline controls. I have no clue about the quality of these, just linking as an example of the style that has worked well for me: https://www.amazon.com/Scosche-Rechargeable-Bluetooth-Microphone-Isolating/dp/B01KU7EYZO
I really like Thunder, but for some reason it doesn't display vote counts when I'm using this account. If I switch to my .world account, the vote counts show up, and I can't figure out why it's different. I'm using Voyager at the moment, but not satisfied. My preferred Reddit app was Slide, and I thought someone was making a Lemmy version, but I'm not sure what happened.
I could definitely see that! Was there a significant gap of time between when you first encountered that spelling vs. when you learned that it was a regional variation? I'm pretty sure the first time I came across "tyre", it was on an internet forum, and by the time I was reading the thread, there were arguments & explanations about it, so I learned immediately.
