The thing that got me to finally switch and not even look at reddit anymore was when any content that was even slightly political had more shadow banned comments than those that were not.
Its so much easier to jump ship to another ship than a whole other platform though. on top of that the instances rely on community support to run past a certain size.
Between Linux or Windows which do you think will be first to have a viable OS for quantum computers?

They make shit up fucking constantly. If I have to google if the answer I was given was right I might as well cut out the middle man and just google it myself. If I can't understand it at that point maybe ask the LLM to rephrase the answer.
tbf if you go looking for it you can find it on any service because people post it everywhere for some reason. Its actually really suprising how I haven't come across any on lemmy (im sure its here somewhere ive just never seen it).

Way easier for a company to make its own reddit and censor any post that talks about why you should probably start to look at moving your data before they are quietly asked to hand over all the data they have.

I think that the worst part is the ones that make repairable tech are so much smaller than you are paying top end prices for rather middle of the road performance. This is not true of them all of course but it is hard to look at the fairphone 5 and think it is worth it over a cheap secondhand/refurbished flagship from the previous generation.
