What's a Spotify?
Is it like jellyfin?
I think it's something like an iPod, but you have to constantly keep paying to use it.
No, more like Navidrome. Jellyfin is more like Nexflix+, I think.
I still don't get how to use Jellyfin
in what way?
you install it and start it, then add some libraries to it, make sure use use the right layout
then you can watch tv show or moves and listen to music, without a monthly sub
Does it work better for music than Plex?
I think plex went down the shitter. But i ditched it before so i don't know.
I dont know, never used plex.
That's how to use the player. I'm more about where to find the media.
Oh, I have a vast collection from cd when cd was the only way to get music.
That might be the best way to start, get some CDs and rip them
"Daddy daddy! Up up up song pweez!" Multiple times a day
What can I say? The music is good and catchy as fuck. Incredible vocals, great production, great lyricism. Nothing to be embarrassed about
it might have just been me, but when i streamed the movie it looked about 20fps instead of the standard !<24. gave it a neat, stylized pseudo stopmotion look, but after half an hour of watching (and a few years in a stopmotion studio) i got rather tired of it.
The movie itself was fine, I wasn’t blown away by it. Idk about your animation issues, but I thought the animation was fun as heck. For a movie experience I’d probably give it like 6.5-7/10. Again, a fine movie… nothing really groundbreaking in terms of story telling and writing. The magic is all in the music and the characters, I think. Which cuts to the core of KPop fandom, I think.
Not even a parent (okay, a cat dad), and yes, this was most of my wrapped. 3 of 5 songs were KPDH.
Haha yip that's the top album for me, this checks out. Apparently I/we are a top 1% global fan with 667 minutes listened to.
I don't fuck with Spotify due to their ice ads but yes it's mostly kpop and hamilton
Which one there's like 8
Golden, obviously
Rumi's not wearing her jacket, this is This Is What It Sounds Like
Oh goddamnit. I was listening to the radio with my partner while driving and heard a song that I thought was good, and it was this one. Does that mean I'm infected now?
Yes :3
My fiancee is against it (one of them is only 5, so that's totally fair) so I get to be the cool (step) dad any time she's got a work dinner or travel 😁 this has, completely seriously, greatly accelerated our relationship, lol
Sorry but against what? Music, movies or Spotify?
Or kpop? Maybe against demon hunting?
Sounds a little demon-esque to be anti demon hunting
I watch it yesterday with my daughter. I actually loved it.
Now it's stuck on my playlist betweew "best of 2000s nightcore", "Vivaldi the 4 seasons" and "DragonForce".
Spotify bots struggle a bit to profile me.
Reason 1: my kid loves it.
Reason 2: it genuinely is good music.
Reason 3: it’s a good movie. Watched it along multiple times by now and it still is entertaining.
Reason 4: this movie pisses of conservative religious nutcases.
Reason 5: it’s a wonderful story about forgiving yourself and others, inclusivity, overthrowing evil tyrants, overcoming differences, growing,…
Reason 6: somehow this movie pisses of conservative religious nutcases.
Haha! I live in Korea and have a daughter who was not-so-briefly completely obsessed with this movie. I know all of the words at this point. English and Korean. I didn't mind at first. It's starting to drive me a bit nuts, now. Also, it is some pretty blatant propaganda for the grist mill that is the Kpop industry. Despite the subtle nods to the contrary.
Literally true
On account of Dan Ek's bullshit, have cancelled Spotify this year in favour of Qobuz, and am much happier all round.
Last year's 'wrapped' was just AI generated slop. After a year of listening to metal and electronica, got a top five of stuff that I'm not sure I'd listened to at all. Who would have thought the great plagiarism machine, trained to produce the most average output from any given input, would not do well on input that diverges from the mean?
I'd probably have preferred a completely random K-Pop selection; might have been an interesting listen, try out something new.
Yes, "parents".
My listening age was 82, but my top songs were mostly Saja Boys.. It was then that I remembered my account is linked to the Nest.
My missus insisted we watch it, and I found it aggressively mediocre.
My Spotify list was mostly Poppy and The Warning.
We're going up up up!
Seriously, I'm sorry. I was listening to Utada and suddenly golden came on. Since I was blasting Utada I let it play thru. So sorry!
Someone must have heard it as I drove by and the rest is history. Just a few more times guys. We're so close. Again, I'm sorry. Just turn the radio off for a couple of years. Or hey, It's Christmas! All I want for Christmas is you! Play that a few times to reverse the effects.
What song?
Is this like the same deal as that year all my coworkers with young kids posted their preferred music service's annual music analysis report and a whole bunch of them had Baby Shark and similar songs in the top 10?
Well the difference being this song is good
