Shouldn't they include Truth social on there?

[–] acosmichippo@lemmy.world 19 points 4 days ago (1 children)

how could you be radicalized with the truth?

[–] paraphrand@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

There is no Radical honesty on Truth social.

[–] n0respect@lemmy.world 10 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

~~Oracle~~ TikTok isn't on there either.

Oh, that's because they already have a government overseer. And owned by a Party loyalist.

Yeah, it's the online forums and gaming communities that radicalized me and not the legion of drooling idiots destroying my country at the direction (or at least to the delight) of foreign adversaries. Good job, detective.

Besides stating the obvious, in that this government is corrupt, and that the killer was a right-wing nut, there is one thing a ton of these people don't understand.

Most people aren't celebrating the killing of Kirk. Most people are celebrating that his incredibly provocative narrative, that violently rallied the fascists together, won't be spread at the source anymore

[–] Assassassin@lemmy.world 14 points 4 days ago

Not supporting the killing of Kirk, supporting the death of Kirk. It's a small but important difference.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 8 points 4 days ago

Most people aren’t celebrating the killing of Kirk

collapsed inline media

I've never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure

Most people are simply mentioning how much of a piece of shit he was, and happy that he won't be spewing his nonsense anymore

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 23 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I hope they all say the same thing:

Shit rolls down hill. You're the hill DC. Fox news and the media are the hill. We're the ditch where the people congregate in and drown in your shit.

[–] db2@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago

Fart Huffman will be too busy boot licking to do that.

[–] mesamunefire@piefed.social 16 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

As long as its on the internet, there will be strange people saying strange things.

Also good more censorship! /s

[–] acosmichippo@lemmy.world 12 points 4 days ago

never mind people in the internet, maybe let’s start with the people in congress and on television. oh and, you know, the fucking president.

Okay, but what if we just repeal or ignore that rule in order to conduct a pogrom of WrongThinkers?

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Like everything else, the same laws and rules they have hidden behind to justify and protect their absolute dogshit behavior will be the first things the regime will get rid of for protecting anyone other than their in-group.

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

[–] paraphrand@lemmy.world 4 points 4 days ago (2 children)

It shuts down Truth social and all social networks. YouTube stops allowing uploads, the fediverse closes up shop, cats and dogs living together.

[–] paraphrand@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Well, it’ll be a difficult transition. But in the long run, maybe not?

As long as the Fourth Estate gets their shit together.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

I would not hold my breath

[–] grue@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

It doesn't shut the Fediverse; it just means each user needs to run their own instance so that the "user" doing the speech and the "publisher" liable for it are one in the same.

[–] paraphrand@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Ah, good point. I guess things would rapidly re-form in the favor of the fediverse if this law was overturned…

Sounds like a monkey paw situation to me!

[–] EndOfLine@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago

No Twitter / X or Truth Social? Is this actually a "why aren't you doing more to radicalize your online forum users towards our ideology" ?

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 7 points 4 days ago

Right wing extremism and radicalization?

Nooo problem

A right wing radicalizer gets shot?

We need to investigate radicalization of the online left!

Absolutely zero of them should go to this.

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)
[–] cupcakezealot@piefed.blahaj.zone 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

That's the good kind of radicalisation... /s

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 2 points 4 days ago

Left wing radicalisation is bad.

Far right radicalisation is good.

[–] CaptainBlinky@lemmy.myserv.one 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Imagine his surprise when all of these CEO's voice their concerns about the fascist terrorist rhetoric.

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 7 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I doubt these CEOs will talk about it. Gotta stay on the good side of the Trumpy Regime.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Steve Huffman already wants to be Mini Elon Musk.

[–] Blackfeathr@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

And he and his "landed gentry" have been working round the clock to silence negative opinions about shitty people like Musk and Kirk.

[–] ArchmageAzor@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

I'm assuming it's gonna amount to "your users aren't radicalized enough"

[–] bluGill@fedia.io -2 points 4 days ago

They need to invite lemmy somehow too. I know no ceo but still plenty of radicals. Not just on .ml though that is the worst.
