just introduced my 9 year old to Futurama,
I fear Bender Bending Rodriguez is her new personality.
I'm glad she only asked me what blackjack is, which makes me worry that she's already aware of what hookers are
I just showed mine king of the hill, now my daughter won't stop saying "guns don't kill people, the government does" a la Dale Gribble. Futurama is next.
She’s 40% Bender now

AI is going to replace me?
Is is going to be a disappointment for my parents?
well, yes. But it's also a disappointment to everyone else.
It already did.
gets sprayed with water gun by locals
in the hot Spanish sun, I'd appreciate that
I think I've seen a YouTuber who made an AI robot that could do that.
This will definitely happen. Better not go to Spain.
Ever drink a 60 of rum, get fired and divorced the same day?
What's a 60
My guess is 60 oz., which doesn't make a lot of sense because even in the US that is sold as 1.75 L
Maybe he drank it in 60 seconds?
Could be Canadian, we call it a 60 here
60 grams? 60 milliliters? 60 sizes of banana?
Please don't come to Spain for that. We have too many people coming for that and they bring more bad than good :(
in spain? because anywhere else it would make it?
I think the point is that alcohol tends to wreck you harder at higher temperatures and Spain is (at least in Europe) known for its ungodly heat.
But the beers in Spain are tiny.
I don’t know. Never have been to Spain. But Spanish beer is sold in small 0,33 Liter bottles here. Which my German brain doesn’t register as beer sometimes. It’s confusing. I am confused. And tired. Going to sleep. Good night.
Good morning!
It's because bigger beers get warm before you can drink them. We prefer to order 6 tiny cold beers one by one than single large beer that will be warm by the time you drink half of it.
You are not drinking it properly then. Ask a German for an advice.
You can have beer in a bigger format in Spain, and if you go to a place to drink beer you would order something from a 'tercio' (330ml bottle) to a 'jarra' (usually 500ml, some places have 1-1.5l mugs). The tiny beer glasses (caña, ~200ml) have another purposes, for example if the place serve good 'tapas', a complimentary small dish served with your drink, since they have the same size whatever you order you get more food with smaller beers; or if you aren't staying at the place and just want, or need, a quick refreshment before going somewhere else.
I actually like this. Never saw it that way. I will do it the Spanish way the next time my ass gets fried at 35 degrees plus.
Other common way is to order a bucket of ice and beer. You get a bunch of 0.25-0.20l bottles in a bucket.
Well, yeah, they're kind of trying to use AI to do that, but since our resources are finite, they're not doing a great job. Yeah, they'd rather run out of resources and collapse than replace us. They're completely nuts there lol.
Is that the River Monsters dude? If so good luck replacing his crazy ass.
That's only because you can't find a decent breakfast, might as well get shit-faced.
AI is going to replace you.
This reminded me of the dinner scene in A.I.
Eating and drinking will be our last bastion!
Ai will never grow into a Sr. Software Developer they will just code worse than the worst developer at your company. Unless they magically learn how to design good architecture, they won't replace people in the long term. They are currently just creating more work overall by giving people the ability to create quick and dirty bad code. I inherited a tool vibe coded by a Jr. that will take me twice as long to fix it as it did to for them to make it. I am trying to convince my boss to let me throw it away and start fresh because it will save time but it is a hard sell.
Can AI do balconing?
Don't just limit yourself to Spain though!
