Not so long ago, before being a parade, Pride was a demonstration. I don't know how it is in the US but generally you don't need contract renovations, corporate sponsorships or grant funding to demonstrate.

I exaggerate but everybody in Spain still kinda has a dark cloud in their thoughts when they hear "Alcàsser", more than 30 years later.
I mean, we thought we were moving away from Francoism and now we have a quite overtly Francoist party with congressional representation :(
Probably because they care more about getting you to click than about what content they offer. You enter thinking you'll find a culturally/geographically relevant answer to a question only to find something that only applies to the US.
What annoys me the most is that it does it "transparently" and shows up on searches as if the thread was originally written in your language.
I think it's the style of English language headlines that substitute the "and" for a comma, I find them extremely confusing.
I mean, if they think like that post they'd still vote for fascism if it was christofascism.
