Former President Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, according to a statement from his personal office Sunday, and it has spread to his bones.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement said.

Why couldn't this be Don instead.

Only the good die young.

Trump wouldn't ever release that information publicly and even has a personal doctor insist that he's the healthiest person ever despite being almost 80, only eating fast food, never exercising, and a well known stimulant addiction.
Trump could be on deaths door and we'd never know.
If he does die of natural causes in office though you know the reds will claim the "libs" did it.

[–] DarthFrodo@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

If trump knew he was going to die he'd probably claim that he was poisoned by the democrats to at least see some more violence committed for him.

[–] Nollij@sopuli.xyz 3 points 2 weeks ago

I genuinely don't think he has the mental capacity to grasp his own mortality.

[–] markovs_gun@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

I'm convinced at this point that Trump will live forever in a cyborg body just to spite me

Not soon enough.

Oof. Metastasis to the bone. Hope Biden holds out to fuck up his parade. Give him one last parting "Would you shut up, man?"

[–] very_well_lost@lemmy.world 21 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

If he really wants to fuck up Trump's parade, he'll die the day before it happens. The news cycle will be on Biden for the next few days and Trump's ego show will be a pathetic side note.

[–] Rivalarrival@lemmy.today 4 points 2 weeks ago

Trump will just do something outrageous and Biden's funeral will be about as memorable as his presidency.

luckily the cancer is still hormone receptor positive, meaning it response to anti-hormone therapy, which usually has more favorable outcomes(just like with breast cancer that is susceptible hormone therapy), if it was hormone negative, it implies a more aggressive type of cancer that is harder to treat. but metastasize already lowers your chances(in general prostate cancer is somewhat slow growing) but bidens mustve had a aggressive version that is still susceptible to antihormone therapy.

The man had one foot in the grave his whole presidency.

[–] AdamEatsAss@lemmy.world 36 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And yet we keep electing old people

[–] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 29 points 2 weeks ago (24 children)

The parties do, not the people.

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The people just voted for the old racist guy instead of the younger woman.

If the Dems would have had a proper primary and campaigned on defined goals instead of nebulous feelings and orange man bad, they could have won.

The weak and poorly defined platform cost them 6 swing states. They pissed off the Amish and the Arabs, which really hurt them in Pennsylvania and Michigan. They didn't campaign for the Latino voters very well, which should have been a slam dunk given the deportation platform Trump had, which impacted the swing states considerably.

The Dems need to seriously rethink their strategy for 2028 or they are going to lose again. 2026 at this point is looking shaky in both directions, so the Dems need to get their shit together immediately if they are going to stop Rep issues progressing into a 2028 victory.

Has Trump already tweeted something disrespectful about this?

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 39 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

The first-person statement (Melania and I) I saw was surprisingly typical of what you'd expect of someone in Washington.

I give it 48 hours before we see something from him and not one of his handlers pretending to be him.

Edit: I'll take a likely-coke-fueled tweet from Don Jr. on Xitter

What I want to know is how did Dr. Jill Biden miss stage five metastatic cancer or is this yet another coverup???

“Israeli attacks forced the European Hospital, the last hospital in Gaza for cancer treatment, to cease operations, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.”

Not the kind of "aggressive pro-state" we needed, but the "pro-state" we deserved.

[–] very_well_lost@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Fuck, that's as dark as it is clever

[–] SpicyLizards@reddthat.com 18 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Well, I hope the doctors have a very sterm and frank phone call with the ~~invader~~ cancer.

[–] barneypiccolo@lemm.ee 5 points 2 weeks ago

Call Schumer. He's always got a weak message of strength in the chamber. He'll show that cancer who's boss (it's cancer).

[–] Sterile_Technique@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

And now we enter that awkward period where we're supposed to show only kindness to someone who's dying, because they're dying, even if they're a horrible fucking person.

Biden's support for genocide handed the presidency to Trump, and between those two things, he's enabled some of the greatest evil I've witnessed in my lifetime.

Fuck you, Biden. You made this world a worse place. The cancer in your ass doesn't make you worthy of respect or undo the giant middle finger you gave to humanity. Your only value was that you weren't Trump; take away that contrast and you're just another evil sack of shit.
