yeah, it's ridiculous - but the core messaging is "money insulates you from reality" and that's something these people need to hear.

She "launched her first six-figure business in middle school" aka. has rich parents and never knew anything she is talking about here

Every "independently" wealthy person under 35 on the Internet.

Step 1, have lavishly rich parents

Step 2, use parents money and business networks to make money

Step 3, brag about being humble while also flaunting your wealth.

“I made this all myself. If I can do it, anybody could do it”

If I wanted to see someone bragging about their accomplishments, I'd just look at this:

collapsed inline media

I'd even posit that this otter has contributed more to society than anybody on Linkedin.

the otter pup has contributed more to the universe by simply existing

I don't think it's restricted to under 35 and on the internet. I know a 40 something year old that says shit like "my wife and I are so independent and good with our money, we don't get any handouts. The only gift we get is that her parents pay off our credit cards every Christmas" unironically.

Rich people are so fucking out of touch.

Lol, fair enough. It's basically impossible nowadays to be comfortable without a little help, even if it's just systemic in nature.

I'm in my mid-late 30s and doing really well compared to most of the people in my age bracket mostly out of dumb luck and because my dad was in the military.

During the last housing market scare I was able to buy a run down abandoned house for 35k after qualifying for a loan through USAA that I really shouldn't have ever been approved for. Just stupid little things like that can really make a huge difference in the long run.

No they need to feel it by taking away their wealth

[–] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 9 points 4 days ago (4 children)

How are you going to do that? Ask politely?

[–] WhyIHateTheInternet@lemmy.world 9 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I hear whispers of cannibalism from these types occasionally.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago

I know a good pork bolognaise recipe that feeds like 50.

[–] xiwi@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

By preference using state mechanisms or idk some kind of people's tribunal. Future bleak as fuck so at a certain point enough people will be okay with either

There is a high enough quantity of millionaire/billionaire simps who can prevent this from proceeding by protecting those pieces of trash that this will likely never happen in your lifetime.

[–] xiwi@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Ok well lets just drown in shit then, never mind any historical precedences at all (even only a few years back up until today).

You are pretty much one of those simps right now, you are defending the statues quo.

[–] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

No, I'm trying to tell you that waving signs and pointing fingers does jack-shit. Either you bring them violence or complain about it impotently on the internet. Guess which you and I are guilty of?

[–] xiwi@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

First of all that's not what you said at all, second you don't know me or what i do in my life lmao.

Also I hope that pfp is ironic

[–] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 1 points 3 days ago

Yeah I'm terrible with communication, so what leaves my brain is often nonsense or incorrect intent due to that.

Please elaborate what you mean by pfp

[–] Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 1 day ago

i will be asking politely, however i cannot speak for what my friends with clubs might or might not do.
