Lot of boots in Texas which means a lot of bootstraps for them to use to pull themselves up!
In all seriousness, they should be getting aid and relief from the federal government. Thats what FEMA is for, that's what the true American way should be; supporting each other and helping out where we can.
I wish the best for the residents of Texas but anybody there upset about not getting aid needs has only their local, state and federal government to blame. Unfortunately, some folks will get caught in the middle.
I'd like to see a law in place that says if a congressman votes against aid for another state during a disaster, then they must resign immediately after requesting aid for their own state during a disaster.

As long as it's applied equally I could support this.
No Republicans roadblocking aid for blue states while promoting it for red, but also no blue states roadblocking aid to red states because "take more than they give". Those behaviors only serve to hurt the people, regardless of their politics.
Yeah. It would be applied equally. Being an asshole "I got mine fuck you" politician shouldn't be something we tolerate, regardless of party affiliation.
If they need federal insurance why don’t they pay in?
