Hey now not everyone hates it. Some of us are entirely indifferent and don't want to be involved in a war between the single two most stubborn idiots on the internet.
Artists and tech dude bros. Honorable mentions go out to religious and vegan peeps.
Let us hide in peace and ignorance.
All 4 of my computers and 10 or so laptops ranging from a old think pad to my current daily driver.
OS includ cachy, endeavour, fedora, Ubuntu and Gentoo. Kernels range about as wildly.
PS5 controller is plug and play on all of them steam or not. Iv never experienced crashing on any of them related to plugging a controller in.
Track pad just works, game detection is fine. Steam games work both with and with out steams controller support feature.
It's why I've always used PlayStation controllers. They basically just work wired.
I have some random issues with blue tooth for it on some combinations, where it's impossible to sync it. But wired connection always just works.
I know the "works on my system" cop out sucks. But if your getting crashing it's almost for sure going to be a local problem. Wish I could help more.
I hate this is how you have to find out that your part of the poor class. The lower class rich folk still very much are flying to Disney.
Got banned on reddit for saying gi robot is cool and should be more popular.
The reason given? Reddit isn't a place to promote violence against others
Feels counter productive to limit screen time for an actual good habit... Screen time isn't a real problem. What you do IS.
It would be like limiting book time just cause you don't like paper.
That just means you're a much higher water burden, and part of a different problematic chain. Vegetarian and even worse, vegans have loads of problems that are just as bad and sometimes worse than a normal diet when it comes to mass food production. Including displacement and harm of animals due to farming requirements for the foodstuffs you consume.
Its impossiable to not harm something living to farm after all.
About the only real way to avoid all that is self growing algae eating basically only that and being entirely self-contained.
THE BROOM IS THREE INCHS FROM WHERE IT NORMALLY IS THIS IS THE END OF THE WORLD PANIC! -my old horse.
Man I sure do love the circus!
Greed isn't an intention, it's an attribute. You don't really intend to go be greedy, you intend to go make money because of the greed. Sure a cartoon villain might intend to go be greedy because he's Ebenezer Scrooge. But people aren't generally speaking cartoons.
Attributes are the foundation that makes up the decision making that goes into willful intention.
But no one person is a singular thing, thus you literally cannot have an intention that is made up of only one attribute.
That desire to make money along with the greed of the person, is also going to be informed by things such as self preservation, hunger, thirst, desire for shelter, desire to help others, desire to hurt others, creativity, etc.
A person who makes wood cups enjoys the hobby, then sells the cups with the intention to make money to buy more wood. Then due to their greed that intention is compounded and they start a business and expand.
There is a reason the seven sins and virtues are as esoteric as they are. They are supposed to describe non-willful forces that drive people.
Yes...? Are you struggling with the concept of an agnostic accent? I'm talking about call centers here after all.
Because generally speaking, politics is at the end of the day the single most unfiying thing on earth.
Everyone and everything at every level is directly influenced by politics.
So when you get a bunch of people together on a topic and those people otherwise don't know each other. They are only really able to communicate in passing with one or two things.
Politics and its relation to the topic. Or a narrow opinion on the topic. Maybe a joke or some other passing comment if you push it.
It's what small talk is. And Lemmy like reddit and any other major general community is mostly goanna be small talk.
The more frequent commenters may learn each other or have more meaningful communication but that's goanna be rare. And realistically any meaningful conversation is goanna be sparked either via a disagreement or agreement from the aforementioned poltical view or opinion shared.
Functionally if you don't want to engage with politics at any level for any reason no matter what. Then you basically need to just stop using anonymous or impersonal forms of communication. Which basically means stop using public forums as a whole.
Cause it's politics or the weather basically, and since no one is goanna talk about the weather your left with politics for small talk.
That or stick very strictly to forums that deal in a extremely EXTREMELY narrow topic. Like cat pictures with out captions.
