So the purge, but what we'd all actually do?

[–] fishy@lemmy.today 11 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, not that I used to eat fast food a lot but with prices as high as they've gotten I just can't justify it. It's garbage food that's more expensive than sit-down options. Everyone has a phone, so with 10 minutes of pre planning you can order from anywhere and not have to sit there and wait which makes McDonald's lose ground in convenience too.

Pricing is about the only place McDonald's could win, but they're too greedy and we all know it.

Too many centrist neo liberals. Democrats and Republicans are pro corporation and billionaire, us working schmucks need to find a way to get a party working for us.

You're forgetting the poor uneducated rural voters who will directly suffer by their own hands, yet again.

Can anyone remind me why we give the dumbest and least productive of us the most representation and govt handouts?

This is the part a lot of US liberals are missing. Those red states are shit holes now. Look bombed out and war torn because industry left and took the money with them, and they were thriving 40 years ago.

A wiser human than me could probably find a way to incentivise companies moving headquarters out of high cost of living areas to more rural areas where rent isn't half your paycheck.

Let's clear it up though, it's the guy who invented the cereal who was a nut. His brother was the one who was like "I'm gonna sell the flakes, not the dick snip bit." They got into a huge battle when the quack doctor realized his brother was making more money selling the cereal than he was selling religious pseudoscience.

My ad blocker stops all the ads except for the sponsorships that are in the video... Y'all watching YouTube without blockers?

We do, one side believes in freedom, equality, empathy and truth. The other side are shit flinging monkeys at this point.

What's sad is like half of the country is basically still asleep at the wheel and just voting for whatever party they've been voting for and are more informed about celebrities than the constitutional crisis occurring.

They, like most people who voted for Trump were more interested in harming "the opposition" failing to realize 90% of people were the opposition despite Trump saying it loud and proud. As a liberal white millionaire I am still confused and concerned at how many idiots I am trying to lift up are encasing their feet in concrete, and a little voice says "maybe it's their nature and you should give them what they ask for."

I'm disgusted by this all around, don't turn me into what I fucking hate.

Bof 3 is probably a better game but 4 is definitely solid.

Anytime a person from a red state complains about California being communist, remind them their roads are paved with money from CA because their state collects welfare from the fed who collects it from Blue states

[–] fishy@lemmy.today 7 points 2 months ago

Let's just give them the capitalism they say they want. We're sending Red states a far larger amount of federal funds than they send in (I believe the stat is red states average $2 received for every dollar sent and it's like 70¢ for every dollar sent is returned to blue states.

Red states are literally welfare states. What happened to bootstraps there?
