It's even worse for Europe. Prices start at €800 (~$866), making any talk about 'MSRP-to-performance-ratio' absolutely pointless.

Even the 9070XT was launched recently and after 30ish minutes, minimum prices went from €695 to €924 (~$1,001) in my country.

Fuck the GPU market.

The whole idea is that it does not turn into another the_Donald, but I perfectly understand your caution. There's still users trying to post "in earnest" (according to them at least), but they get ratio'd so it's not as bad as you might think.

Anyway, not here to tell you what to block and what not, but I figured you might be interested in the story that it went from a snowflake safe space to a satirical meme community :)

Which community? One of them is now under new management and turned satirical

Why would you max out credit and mortgage if your job pays well?

Meaning guy is so obsessed with the woman, give all money to her no matter what - at the same time not giving himself any care because no money left for him?

This is not how healthy relationships work. It seems like you're trying to goad us into some direction when the answer is just very simple: genetics.

Indeed. Really puts things into perspective

I like this a lot. Using lemm.ee isn't mandatory, as you can choose "pick another server" the moment you try to comment. For a moment I was wary that this would just send everyone to 1 instance.

That and how it would differ from Reddit

The userbase here is quite technical so there are many of you able to contribute.

As a project manager, I can help by ballooning the scope and setting the deadline to yesterday! Doing my part!

I reverse image searched on mobile to try find the origin / source of this specific image to see if it was legit.

I wasn't excluding the possibility of some company in the world prompting for a 100% tip, hence why I didn't spend 10 seconds googling for it.

I can't find the original image, it's just been reshared dozens of times on Xitter, Threads, Facebook and Reddit, but nobody is adding context or naming and shaming.

So yeah, probably just ragebait.

Here's a good breakdown: https://econreview.studentorg.berkeley.edu/unboxing-universal-basic-income/

As for my thoughts, yes there would be a noticeable impact at first, but UBI would help stabilise and strengthen the economy in the long term because purchasing power and demand will increase. If supply can keep up, prices won't go up. Companies can't just raise prices as that's called price fixing. Antitrust laws should be there to prevent that, but your mileage may vary depending on your country. That means that if some companies decide to raise prices because of more purchasing power, some smart company is going to charge less to gain more market share. So we're still doing capitalism, but there's a social safety net.

Also, people will still go to work to find purpose. Except "work" in this case could mean the freedom and flexibility to contribute locally, or take higher risks like entrepreneurship or becoming an artist.
