I remember there being someone held back a year. I think it happens.

I would guess that the hurricanes are the reason it's so reliable? Old, aging power infrastructure gets blown away/broken and gets replaced. This happens all at once in big events when it's expected, so no one bats an eye.

Elsewhere it would sit there, slowly degrading until it fails peacemeal.

The company I worked for tried that as an experiment on how much money it saves.

Absolutely awful, even removing connectives causes problems.

Had to get mine on Amazon. ☹️

Fine if it's a popular enough headset.... But for how long?

Sennheiser sold off their consumer headset decision, it's now just a licensed name. They also stopped selling spare parts! Very annoyed.

Yeh, my understanding is that this was a ruling on the current law, they said that if they rules otherwise, the law would be unworkable I think?

So therefore parliament should legislate properly about it rather than just trying to bend what already existed.

It looks like an open source project. Makes a hell of a lot more sense to implement using that than rolling your own? If it's missing something you need, write it for them.

Writing your own implementation is extremely unlikely to differentiate your app/product. There is a spec, either you implement it and it works, or you don't and it doesn't. Using a maintained library is by far the better option.

Focus your time on the product you are building not the tech.

Na, I want an entire draw of the same sock design, so I don't have to worry about pairing them.

My mum got me a mug for Christmas and internally I was like damn, I was going to throw all mine out to get a matching set.

Is there any evidence that this is what happened?

Cool in theory

Yes. This is the technology community, not the buy European one.

Framework is pushing laptops in the right direction.
