No, they aren't. With the number of bacteria that have lived over the course of life on Earth, compared to the number of non-bacterial life forms over that time, I would guess that the vast majority of organisms alive now have never been anything other than a bacteria.

Can't speak for them, but I mix cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle that one the buttered toast.

I'm trying to think of a better way to radicalize an entire generation of Hispanics against the USA, and I just can't come up with one.

I'd prefer Pritzker. He's done great by Illinois and has been standing up for the people against Trump at least as well, if not better than Newsom.

Using AI to impersonate another human, real or, fictional should become a crime. It is becoming rapidly apparent that people are far more easily manipulated than we would like to think. We're staring down the barrel of a world where anyone with $7500 bucks can orchestrate global conversation on any topic they want be it religious, economic, or political.

Glad to hear that he's recovered enough to start thinking about working again.

I wonder if the site is down because they're being sued.

This is interesting to me because it shows at least bits of the government legitimately think there’s a centralized movement behind the ice protests

I don't think that's the case. This is supposed to scare him and, once the stories make the rounds, have a chilling effect on the protests. People will now have to think, what if the FBI shows up at my house or place of emplyment because I went to a protest. That is the reason they are doing this.

Deputy Jonathan Lane walked up to Deiseroth’s window asked him where he was going and where he thought he was. Deiseroth said he was on the 18-Mile Stretch driving back to Miami after spending the day in Islamorada, according to the deputy’s body camera footage. He was actually at least 70 miles south of the Stretch and driving the opposite way from Miami.

Deiseroth, who had his 7- and 9-year-old sons in the truck, reluctantly agreed to exit the pickup, but tried to appeal to Lane and other deputies on the scene to let him go because he, too, works in law enforcement. He also told Lane he was going through a divorce and said he’d lose his kids if he was arrested, the footage shows.

He deserves to lose more than his kids. He blew .174, with his kids in the car, and didn't know where he was or where he was headed. On top of that, he threatened the arresting officers and continued to make threats even after he was arrested. He should be locked up for a good long while.

It wasn't that long ago (Trump's last term) when there were allegations of medical abuse at immigration facilities that included forced sterilization without consent.

Last week, a hideous allegation emerged in a complaint filed on behalf of immigrants detained at the privately operated Irwin County Detention Center (ICDC) in Georgia. In the complaint, nurse Dawn Wooten blew the whistle on “jarring medical neglect” she says she learned about while working at the facility, including an allegation that a government-contracted doctor repeatedly performed sterilizing procedures on women in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody without their knowledge or consent.

...and given a vaccination without her consent and that she was not given translation services to know what the vaccine contained.

Okay, I know this sounds a little tin foil hatty, but is ICE known for giving vaccinations? They are the militant arm of the group that hates vaccinations. I have trouble imagining them dutifully vaccinating the people they detain.

On the other hand, I have no trouble imagining them giving pregnant brown women a shot that might cause a miscarriage...
