/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

Leonard Hicks.

Source, I actually had this movie as a kid. For some reason I think it came from McDonald's and we got it in the nineties. I could be creating a false memory though cause that is definitely how I got an Indiana Jones movie.

I believe it, the 90s were a wild time for ~~digital~~ media. I remember the grocery store having a stand full of $10 computer games, which is how I found Raptor: Call of the Shadows.

Not trying to sound rude, I'm just told I come off that way sometimes. But it was definitely analog. But you're right about wild digital stuff. Remember those self destructing DVDs? I still feel it was a fever dream seeing those.

Wow, McDonalds gave out VHS copies? That must have cost them a pretty penny compared to the things they give out now! Not McDonalds, but I still remember being excited when I got a VHS in the mail with a 10 minute trailer for the Nintendo rumble pack that had Sega and Sony (I think?) "torturing" Nintendo for information.

I think it was a premium happy meal thing that cost 5 or 10 bucks att.

[–] kieron115@startrek.website 1 points 1 day ago

lol and now 5 or 10 bucks is basically a value meal at McDonalds

[–] Ceruleum@lemmy.wtf 2 points 1 day ago

That's a space porn flick.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 2 points 3 days ago

I'm naming this episode "the green antorians"

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

I haven't seen Star Trek, but I have seen Austin McConnell (I still need to open a new tab to make sure I spell the name right)
