+1 for Voyager from me

[–] Iheartcheese@lemmy.world 26 points 1 day ago

Top voted this is what I'm going with

[–] kingofras@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Voyager but the lack of the language field is not great. Posting with Voyager gets you less reach

Started on Jeroba, but Thunder just felt more intuitive.

Summit and Interstellar are my two favorite's right now.

[–] Vegan_Joe@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I second Summit.

I still have Sync because I transitioned with it from Reddit, but Summit is now my daily driver.

Boost (Android)

It was the best app for Reddit before. Now it's the best app for Lemmy.

[–] 7U5K3N@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 day ago

On boost as well.

Good stuff.

Connect. With Voyager as comparison.

I'm using Jerboa, even though I saw what Blorp is like, and I'm preparing g to switch (just used to Jerboa UI)

Summits been solid for years

[–] SlartyBartFast@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Voyager, but I wish I could see other people's modlogs, they sound funny

[–] Theatomictruth@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I’d never looked at mine before now, apparently I’ve been banned from a couple communities for being an “anti-ai troll”, presumably for downvoting something at some point.

Thunder. Cross-platform and it has a very nice uncluttered UI. Works with piefed too.

[–] exist@sopuli.xyz 10 points 10 hours ago (2 children)

Voyager. Don't remember why I stuck to this one, but the others I tried lacked some features I wanted.

[–] AstroLightz@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I like it because it is pretty much the Lemmy successor to Apollo for Reddit.

I use Boost. Not open-source, but the ads are non-intrusive to me and it just feels like home.

[–] winkerjadams@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 19 hours ago

I just paid the $5 or whatever. Felt right to support the dev after using it on reddit for so long

[–] tomi000@lemmy.world 8 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (5 children)

Boost. Only problem I have is videos often only play in thumbnail and load infinitely when clicked on. Not that important for me though.

With Jerboa and Voyager there were a lot of small problems that just made the experience worse.

I had to check, but voyager, evidently.

[–] PriorityMotif@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

Connect, but a recent update to the UI is quite annoying. Some text is quite small but not all the time, they added a giant banner at the top. It was fine before.

Jerboa. I find the UI very nice. Right around amount of info and density (i hate excessive padding), fully customizable colors, not 1 glitch

Are you me? This is exactly what I needed too because I was on Sync for years now and had no idea development stopped. Started to notice a lot of small issues here and there with it and finally saw there's been no updates on almost 2 years.

I tried Voyager and I liked the gestures for votes and being able to customize things pretty well. Also trying out Boost right now and I like how familiar it is to me since I used it on Reddit, but now I'm missing the gestures.

I use Boost, Eternity and Sync

[–] reksas@sopuli.xyz 5 points 18 hours ago
[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 5 points 1 day ago

Firefox on mobile.

[–] Assassassin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago

I was using connect, but it had this fun habit of burning through all of my ram and crashing every active app on my phone. I'm now using summit and it seems decent so far.

[–] tyler@programming.dev 4 points 1 day ago

Mlem has been rock solid for me.

[–] Lenna@piefed.ca 4 points 1 day ago

Jumping between Boost and Summit.

Speaking of this, are there any PieFed users who have tried uploading images as a post through an app? Have you noticed that doing so counts toward your 50 MB upload quota, while uploading images on desktop does not count toward the quota?

[–] kamenlady@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Just dropped Sync for summit

It just got a great update today.

[–] Donjuanme@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sync, what am I missing? I used bacon reader on Reddit and haven't had too many issues with sync. But I also don't look past the first result when I search a store.

[–] kamenlady@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

The developer seems MIA, again. It's been a while since the last update.
