edit: my question is rhetorical since this is the Lemmy shitposts community (on .world no less) and this is the last place people should be posting it. Maybe it's time I start posting rural Northern Ontario corn farming politics here as well
I mean, I live here in the USA. Laughter is the only response I have left. I'm too tired to be scared, and there's no point in getting angry since there's nothing I can do about it that wouldn't leave me hurt worse.
So the only answer left is to laugh about it.

The earliest version of Santa Claus "sinterklass" is from Spain yes but St Nicholas the figure was born and spent much of his life in modern day turkey part of rome at the time.
