Yeah exactly. It makes zero sense from a working class point of view. But that’s not our go to point of view for these things unfortunately.
I see this as partially an opportunity.
In tech things are so US dominated that a XYZ but made and run in Canada is now a valid pitch.
As someone whose contract was cut short in direct relation to these tariffs, I am worried that some industries will suffer and there may be some job loss. I'm definitely expecting to see more job losses in my sector. However I am feeling an increase in faith that the current Canadian government will take good steps to protect as many people as possible from it (I can't speak for after the election).
