Yep, it'll take decades to rebuild trust in the CDC and HHS, and they were basically still doing the work of doing that after the messed up stuff they did in the 40s - 60s.
The CDC and HHS did a lot to destroy trust long before this administration. What RFK says about Big Pharma capturing government agencies has enough truth in it that it helps sell his bullshit conspiracy driven nonsense.

I'd argue the point is to destroy the country which is what Russia wants. They don't want a weak America, they want a dead America.
