Anything to distract us. Look at all the crises of the last 10 years he fabricated. None of them mattered.

Bro just trying to ctrl+z the pedo part of his life.

None of them mattered.

Huh??? Like, Trump is rolling back democracy at unprecedented rates. Even if the crises weren't real, his response to them absolutely mattered.

Anything to distract us.

You... you do realize this might well be the lead up to an autocoup right? What could Trump do that you wouldn't call a distraction?

This administration has been rolling hard since day 1. There aren't any more "distractions" than there have been over the past 8 months, daily distractions. But lemmy thinks they're oh-so-smart for calling every move a distraction. Jesus.

Yes, that will show them.

Def don’t talk to your neighbours and organise a militia. The time isn’t ripe for that yet.

Look at my post history buddy. I don’t know where you get “lead up to” from. He’s not going to announce it, he did that years ago.

When the SC gave him king powers and when he said Elon’s very good with those voting machines that is when it already was a coup. These are just Epstein distractions though. The coup is complete at this point. We’re just waiting for people like you to stop writing in the probable future tense about it.

At this point everything is a distraction.

The next step is for yanks to be hungry and or angry enough to put his and the billionaire class heads on spikes. Climate emergency might still beat them to the door though.

That's a fair point, but I disagree. Trump is still nominally beholden to the democratic process, and theoretically Congress could end all this nonsense right now. The fact that the legislative branch refuses to use its powers doesn't mean they don't exist; the process leading to the latter is what we'd call a coup.

At this point everything is a distraction.

From what? What's so massive that effective martial law in the capital of the country is just a distraction?

Your comment reads like inception to me.

The distraction is exactly what you are describing: you think The Congress still holds any power. Or the Judicial. The longer he can keep the pretence that this is an “administration” and not a totalitarian regime, the more he can expand ICE, weaponise the DOJ, round up citizens without due process, build camps, make people think that there will be mid term elections that matter.

I tell you, if congress started articles of impeachment today and got the votes, and then had the senate vote to remove him, the supreme court would overrule it for him. It’s over. You don’t have a democracy anymore. It never was much to speak of, ever since Eisenhower’s warning of the Military Industrial Complex, but at least we were pretending and had changes of power every 8 years.

The analogy with Hitler’s rise is astonishing.

You realise this guy has a cuck fetish right? Made his married friends fuck prostitutes and tell their wives? He gets off on that. Do you see Nancy Mace, a rape survivor, cucking to him? Do you see Mike Johnson cucking? Vance? Moscow Mitch? And now Tim Cook, an openly gay man, supporting bigot and a rapist? He gets off on that. He hold power over all of them. He enjoys subjecting people around him to please, respect and obey him. That’s why he calls himself a very stable genius. He’s not leaving. Maybe someone will shoot him, maybe he will die, or maybe they poison him, but he’s not going back (to quote Kamala).

And after that, Vance and the tech bros will calm everyone down and pretend and promise they will bring a sense of normalcy.

Trump is still nominally beholden to the democratic process

That’s how I know you’re distracted.

This is an unfettered declaration of the truth. ✊🏼

Call upon your congressional representatives to act.

Sigh.

Make the military storm the DOJ to get the Epstein files.
