There is no need to be hostile toward someone who is clearly on our side. If they weren't they wouldn't mention the other abuses Walmart commits.

Using it gains nothing, but does alienate people with disabilities from wanting to join the cause if they feel it's filled with people who use their disability to denigrate others. There is genuinely nothing to gain from using it over other insults, it only results in a net-loss.

Mass public protests are certainly more effective at shaping public opinion than quiet anger in your home.

We don't allow that insult as it breaks rule #1. There are better words to use that do not insult an innocent group of people with its use.

If you edit your comment to a different insult, I won't need to remove it.

It's been a new name for each one, I guess to appeal to different groups for different problems. The 'Hands Off!' one for stopping the dismantling of Social Security did succeed in getting massive attendance from older people, so it seems to be working.

That's pretty standard right-wing propaganda against the protests, and they've been making that claim since they started. It's intended for their base so they can easily dismiss how popular the protests have been by making it appear like a sham or democrat conspiracy, when in (their warped) reality, Trump is super popular so the only way these protest happen is if people are paid to show up.

They've made similar propaganda to explain the popularity and crowd sizes of Bernie's Anti Oligarchy rallies.

I do agree that it's less eye grabbing or punchy compared to the previous 'No Kings' protest, which was immediately understandable in comparison.

It's based on a John Lewis quote: "Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."

Thanks! Though from from what I understand degenerate has also been picked up by neo-nazi's due to its origins being from eugenics.

But at this point I feel like that scene in Letter Kenny. I get your intent 😅

If we're going to effectively fight Trump and the rise of fascism, we have to act together, and show up in numbers!

Check the website map to see events happening near you: https://goodtroubleliveson.org/#attend

You don't need to sign up there or give any information, in fact, it's better if you don't. Just find the address, grab some snacks and water, a sign if you can make one, and show up.

If you have a printer, bring some union pamphlets to hand out and tell people about the General Strike. Spread the word if you can, share this image, and let's stand up together in solidarity and make some Good Trouble!

Hi, mod here. Could edit your insult to something else so that it complies with Rule 1?

Join the NO KINGS protests tomorrow, on Trump's Birthday, June 14th! It's a nationwide protest with over 1900 locations across the US. Check the website map below.

No Kings Event Map: https://www.nokings.org/#map

Find one near you, write down the address and time, and head out tomorrow. (You don't have to sign up for anything, all you need is the address).

Recommended that you bring a mask, hat, water and snacks. Safety Goggles or Glasses would also be a good idea if you have them.

Bring a sign or the US Flag if you have one.

For privacy reasons you may want to avoid bringing your phone, or place it inside a faraday bag (a really well sealed tinfoil pouch will work, and put it in airplane mode to avoid draining your battery) until you get home.

If you have a first aid kit, it wouldn't hurt to bring it, just in case.
