She is also getting death threats.

“I am not intimidated by this, because what I did was simply alert my community to stay away from an area where ICE could be, to keep themselves safe."

but legally speaking, they’re doing their job and her notifying illegal immigrants about ICE is definitely illegal.

I'm sure it was illegal to alert Jews who were about to be rounded up by Gestapo, or to hide them in their house. It was also illegal to help slaves escape to the north via the underground railroad, but people who ignored those laws to instead act on their morals to do what's right are now regarded as heroic, and the ones who used the argument they were 'just following orders' are now seen as cowardly and vile scum, many of them were even executed for participating in horrific crimes against humanity, so that defense doesn't hold any water.

Kind of off topic, but is there a way to contact whomever is responsible for the repair mirror? All the links to source don't work anymore.

I've noticed this as well, but unfortunately I can't give a timeline of when it will be resolved.

So that means, the owner of the mirror is aware of it?

My concern is that I see that all moderators besides you haven't been active for several months.

Yes, unfortunately the admin hasn't had time to address it. They do now, and should be able to update it this weekend.

I think I may have been the only mod to volunteer who was already active on lemmy beforehand, and thus would stick around regardless. The others, I suspect, may have returned to reddit. Most of them had not been active even when I volunteered a few months ago.
