Feels like this could be a good visual gag Easter egg in something like a zombie apocalypse comedy: Sign is in the background of a shot at the start of the film working fine, as the film progresses you get this, then III out of the vertical lines, then II and finally I with the S in GUYS burnt out too, probably with the place in increasingly obvious levels of burnt out
