I'm beginning to suspect Donald Trump is not a very honest person. ^/s^

[–] Zexks@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I mean he campaigned on doing the shit they had in there. He just said he didn't know about it. It's not like he said one thing and did another.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 10 points 1 day ago

I don’t think he lied about that, either. There’s no way he read even 1 page of an 800 page document with no pictures in it.

He didn’t need to know about that document – it was other people’s brain child – he just parroted their talking points, as he does with nearly everything.

He’s a carnival barker and useful idiot. Let’s just hope he continues to make himself less useful to them.

Wait, what? I didn't know releasing the Epstein files, bombing muslims, and not ending the war in Ukraine on day one but instead committing more billions to arm them was in Project 2025. Totally missed that ...

and not ending the war in Ukraine on day one but instead committing more billions to arm them

Jesus fucking Christ.

It’s funny his interview edited out his Epstein list hesitation but then he railed against Kamala’s editing.

It was so obvious to draw attention away and pin it squarely on her.

except if you listen carefully to what trump was saying off debate stage, it was pretty obvious he planned on following project 2025 and was just lying. the American people need better bullshit detectors I swear to god

He's literally keeping his campaign promises, as anyone with two brain cells to fucking rub together and listened to his verbal diarrhea instead of playing fucking telephone with your favorite internet bubble could tell you. He was always promising Christian nationalism, disgustingly openly, but people still insist otherwise because, I don't fucking know, because the vast majority of the population is dumb as fucking rocks, I guess, and wants some justification for why supporting or being okay with Trump was Acceptable, Actually, before he started fulfilling all of his promises to murder Muslims and deport innocent people.

Did he do something to lean into project 2025 recently?

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 28 points 1 day ago (1 children)

They've been full speed ahead on it this whole time. He can't really lean any harder.

[–] Cruxifux@feddit.nl 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah I guess I just thought maybe he had done something specifically egregious

[–] SkyezOpen@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

It's all so egregious that nothing in particular stands out, in the same way that being shot is a big deal, but being shot 37 times is not significantly different from being shot 38 times.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

Basically the entire last six months.

Oh that’s a sweet resource thank you!

I mean it’s horrifying but

You know what I mean.
