But for real, I've been working in web hosting and related fields for over 15 years and the enshittification is still accelerating. It's long past time to stop relying on centrally hosted sites and start working on decentralized services.

You’re good. The person who posted the photo of themselves initially did so clearly in good humor, you shared it here clearly in good humor. Person you’re replying to is just getting fired up for something that is just purely silly and fun and not serious.
Not really fired up. Just injecting some food for thought. It's healthy to be willing to bear some scrutiny toward certain under examined ideas/conventions.
I feel that, and I think it’s an important point to make honestly. Just felt like you were dragging OP for doing something wrong which I didn’t feel was correct, myself.
Not my intended angle. If it is coming across as something personal I didn't word my post appropriately. Imbalance between being concise and being clear. My point was aiming at the underlying concept and not the person who was posting.
I understand. I just saw an opportunity to highlight what I see often go as unquestioned convention that really deserve to be questioned a bit more.
