There are women there, which was more than I expected.

[–] arcterus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 8 hours ago

I was expecting it, but I'm still disappointed.

No that’s too nice, lock them in a cell and forget they exist. No vistors, no recreation time, no clean clothes or clean water. Let them experience the hell they made.

[–] Draegur@lemmy.zip 2 points 13 hours ago

Hm. WELL, turnabout IS fair play, after all...!

but the thing about punishment is that it's supposed to serve a purpose. It's supposed to teach, whereas these bastard pig scum are incapable of empathy or self-awareness or learning a single god damned thing from their mistakes.

suffering is kind of too good for them. But ... generosity is a virtue.

Need addresses and regular location updates, too.

Go to your hardware store, as it has many tools of the revolution.

From the looks of things, I don't think they're recruiting from a very large gene pool.

Good to know, I'm on Boost. I've been encountering some other pretty big issues with it but the one thing I really like about it is that it saves posts in the order of when I saved them instead of the order in which they were posted, which is how every other app I've used handles my saved posts. If I'm doing a deep dive in !ass@lemmynsfw.com and I save something from a year ago I don't want to have to scroll through a dozen pages of saved posts to get back to it.

[–] Zombie@feddit.uk 2 points 8 hours ago (1 children)

Boost is closed source, defeating half the point of using the Fediverse in the first place. And has adverts. It's very intuitive to use, granted, I used it myself for a while, but have since transitioned to Voyager and after disabling the weird gestures controls I'm happier on this app, would recommend.

Unfortunately it does save posts in date posted order as you've said, however there's no reason you couldn't ask the devs to add a sort order feature. That's the beauty of small open source projects!

This page has a list of Lemmy apps if you want a browse of what's available, with closed source ones marked clearly:

I used to use boost for reddit, so I bought boost for Lemmy. No ads. But closed source and the video capabilities are shit.

Hit the HD button in the top right when you click on the picture and wait for the loading bar to complete.

The fearless leadership of the Gestapo.

Good job on naming them. Gonna be useful during America's Nuremberg trials.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 1 points 17 hours ago

I assume they all live in the DC area? So most of us won't see them around?

I'm shocked one of them is not a Cuban....

For clarification, I am of Mexican descent. Cubans are the first ones to feel they're special and magically not brown.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 5 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Every Cuban is like that? Come on man, that ain't helpful.

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 3 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

I'm guessing they're from Florida. Lots of Cubans who went too far to the right when fleeing Castro.

[–] TranscendentalEmpire@lemm.ee 1 points 17 hours ago

I'd be willing to bet Marcos Charles is of Cuban descent.
