The previously unreported existence of a second Signal chat in which Mr. Hegseth shared highly sensitive military information is the latest in a series of developments that have put his management and judgment under scrutiny.

I hate it too, you're welcome lol

He looks like Arthur Fonzarelli to me in his eyes and total expression. Like he hit the top of the jukebox but the music didn’t play.

In my administration, I’m going to enforce all laws concerning the protection of classified information. No one will be above the law

Lock ~~Her~~him up!!

Donald J. Trump

Lock him out

No one will be above the law

Next you're gonna tell me that gullible isn't in the dictionary....

[–] athairmor@lemmy.world 56 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Come on! Has no one here ever drunkenly texted the wrong person as head of the worlds biggest military?

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

It’s so relatable to have a contact in your phone with a different person’s number in it!

Wait, I thought he promised to stop drinking if he was confirmed as secretary of defense. He wouldn't lie, would he? So he must be this stupid sober.

It doesn't matter unless you're Hilary.

Lol, trump has not driven a vehicle in decades, if ever.

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

It’s all computer so he won’t have to

The BEST cliff. Big strong men come up to him, tears in their eyes, they say Mr. President, drive us off the cliff so I remember what I worked for: making rich people feel important

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 4 points 1 week ago

It'll be the ride of their lives.

[–] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 week ago

What if Hegseth is driving this particular bus, but Petey needs Trump to blow on the interlock device so that he can actually start thr ignition?

[–] sparky@lemmy.federate.cc 1 points 1 week ago

Bold of you to assume that has any correlation. He’ll still throw his own sycophants under the bus.

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 11 points 1 week ago

Only if he admits that a mistake was made. Doesn't matter if it's his own, trumps or any other members still in the inner circle... as long as everyone keeps sticking to the "witch hunt", "nothing happened" approach

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Second? It seemed pretty clear after the first expose that this is a regular method of communication for these meatheads.

[–] uienia@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Much easier way to provide Russia with all the US intel they pay for instead of storing boxes in the bathroom.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 13 points 1 week ago

Doesn't matter. His boss did it with visitors to maralago, and didn't suffer any consequences. Why would this be any different? Not like congress, the Senate or the judicial branch will do anything about it.

Vance: "I fucking knew it! You guys are assholes!"

[–] Cassandra3MadScene@lemm.ee 10 points 1 week ago (1 children)

There’s a saying when you work around this stuff, the gist of it is, “20 years hard labor or death…. Some get both….”

Accountability for everyone else and none for these fucks I guess yet again huh?

[–] uienia@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Who is going to hold them accountable? The US political system has proven time and time again that it is completely devoid of checks and balances, since they were implemented purely with "good faith" as the regulatory principle.

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 5 points 1 week ago

That's great. Maybe the information leaks and some poor Yemeni gets to run to safety once.

Roses are red. Red like his hat. ”Hegseth shared attack details on second signal chat.”

[–] TheBat@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

Security leaks! So hot right now!
