Why do people keep referring to the Art of the Deal, Trump has filed for bankruptcy 6 times from 1991-2009 the art of the deal is just toilet paper with words on it.

I wouldn't let that mouth near my asshole if he paid me.
I have to assume that this is extremely abrasive.
He self-brands as an expert negotiator and his base believes it. Any opportunity to shoot holes in that image should be taken. OP is doing just that.
You're not the intended audience. You already know it's bullshit.
Then nobody on Lemmy is the intended audience as this is a left wing echo chamber as far as I can tell and I don’t know why we’re posting all this stuff as we are not engaging with the people we need to to effect change.
That is an insult to toilet paper
And famously Trump didn’t actually write any of it.
/s
I watched the apprentice yesterday, I don't how close it comes to reality but if it does than saying your good at making deals is more important than actually making good deals.
That is Trump's whole schtick, he bullshits everyone around him, and if called on it he is all deny/deflect/delay.
He was so great at deal making that he had to take a job working for a Hollywood studio pretending to be a successful businessman and "firing" people from a job that doesn't exist.
Fuck, he kept insisting that nobody would have ever heard of Penn &Teller if not for him, while standing under the giant mural of them on their eponymous theater in Vegas.
I've heard (never actually seen the apprentice myself, and I haven't followed up, so take it with a big grain of salt) that the show was meant to be tongue-in-cheek. Like Trump was such a fantastically bad business man, it was meant to be a joke. But unfortunately, most people are apparently blind to satire, and all it takes is acting like you know what you're doing to convince them you do.
I wouldn't call it satire, but since it doesn't paint a very flattering picture of him I can imagine his supporters would call it satire. It is funny, but that because he behaves stupid. The real him is also funny in the same way, but at the same time there is nothing funny about it because he gets his way. His supporters probably say it's made to make him look bad, but I feel I better understand him after seeing it. Doesn't make me like him more though, the consequences his actions have on people makes him quite a villain; then and now.
Yeah, that's Trump in a nutshell. He'd be hilarious if things weren't so serious.
You've heard of the great dictator well he's the greatest dictator
Just remember, Trump didn’t write “art of the deal”. It was ghost written. He’s probably never even read it.
I doubt he can even read
Didn't the ghost writer say he [drumph] hasn't read a book in his life?
I still remember that aids, during his first term, disclosed that they had to keep briefings to only a few pages and put pictures to make sure they didn't lose his attention.
I've heard that he's 50/50 if the words are written with crayon.
Wouldn't matter if he had written it, or even read it. He has no skill as a businessman, including negotiation.
"Xiaomi is the third-largest phone maker in the world behind Apple and Samsung, but its phones are not sold in the United States"
God damn, you folks really are forced to buy Apple
I can only recommend against buying Xiaomi phones because they are shitty by design. My parents have Xiaomi phones and there are ads everywhere, including in the standard system apps.
For example: The vanilla files app is hidden and you can only use it if you know what you're doing and dig it up. Instead you have Xiaomi's file manager app that not only lacks many features, but has the audacity to be infested with apps. When you start the app, you will get a full screen ad and can only continue to the proper app after a few seconds and even then there are banner ads still.
If you install apps manually from apks, some Xiaomi app scanner launches to scan the apk. I doubt the scanner is effective or does anything useful, but it's yet another opportunity to show full screen ads.
That's why I check if there is a custom rom available before buying any phone. My current phone came with Xiaomi's HyperOS, which tries to be iOS but on Android. Luckily some heroes ported CrDroid, so now I have a €200 phone that feels like a €500 phone.
But I still can't recommend Xiaomi, because they made it nearly impossible to unlock the bootloader. Installing a custom rom isn't even the hard part when the OEM has a five step process to get a stupid unlock code. Took me a month, just because they required a minimum account age. Should have checked that process before buying too. Or just returned the phone when I could, because that month pushed me out of the return window of course :')
That's pretty smart. They can infest apps with ads in order to make someone delete that app.
I've only seen it on YouTube vanced, because it didn't come from an app store.
The reason to use it is because you want to avoid ads.
I don't see any of those ads on other apps. In which area of the world do you live?
They're fuckin trying bro
I like that this only incentivizes making low price junk in the US and not the things that actually matter.
What happened to building factories in America? What about all the jobs putting in tiny screws?
Someone needs to build a toothpick factory somewhere in Kansas to give them something to point to so they can save face.
Breaking news: not even 24 hours later they announced that the exemption is temporary
Good timing, perfect for crashing the stock market again at the opening tomorrow morning
Breaking News: now the story is that the whole thing was fake news and there are still tariffs.
I agree with the message, but the Krassensteins are grifters.
yeah...weird time
I remember seeing them pop up on leftist spaces on Reddit and I was always nonplussed. Usually their points are valid but like you said they're grifters. They'll do pretty much anything for a seat at the table to shake their finger.
Who censors “ass” on the Fediverse?
Or in an image for that matter!
Self censoring 'bad' worda is such mind-numbing dumb thing to do. If you don't want to use the word, don't use it... Boggles my mind. Besides, are there even really any platforms anywhere that censor or frown upon 'ass' ?
Cuz it's f*nny
Its the fucking Krassensteins
It's really simple to explain tariffs. Remember the whole "no taxation without representation" the US was built on? Well you can't tax another country, because you'd have to give them representation.
Which leads me to my next point....
The Art of the Deal is fiction according to the author.
Listen, I have a bridge to sell anyone who thinks there's an art of the deal
I'm trying to come up with a moderately less scammy way to capitalize off these chumps and funnel the money into sustainable agriculture
Don't. Every single person who bought into republican bullshit deserves to be separated from their wealth in the scammiest way possible.
Are these the Brothers Krassenstein? They are back to their old grift eh?
And these electronics are coming from where?
