Oh my god, this just struck me while reading your last line, but is Elon’s name really pronounced “Ellen” and he’s just tried to convince everyone it’s “E-lawn”?

Like on Mythic Quest where Ian convinced everyone his name is pronounced “eye-on”

"Eye-on" would be pronounced the same as "ion," a charged particle. It was more like "eye-in."
