His indication that he took the “short route” home implies he wrote the letter before committing suicide. It certainly implicates Trump, but the conspiracy theorists will not be happy.
If he did, why the hell would they go through all the trouble of claiming the tapes were lost, then releasing obviously doctored footage, and putting out some shitty animation passed as the real thing? Seems like it would have been unnecessary.
I believe he was on suicide watch. The prison guards would have been implicated as complicit if the whole thing was on camera.
Well, yeah. He was on suicide watch, but also right before he was to testify, just happened he was given a bit of time where the prison guards left him alone, and the tapes “stopped” recording. Assisted or not that’s at best negligence and coincidence, at worst actively complicit and planned.
Suicide vs assisted suicide?
I’d think so too. I doubt he had much choice in the matter.
To try and seem not as incompetent as they are. He was supposed to be on suicide watch
How should he have written the letter after the assumed suicide?
Who said that he did? It was postmarked after his death.
You said this, lol. Like there's another time he could have written it.
I said it implies.
Yeah, I know what you said, I quoted you. Either he wrote it before his suicide or he didn't write it at all. Your phrasing implies he could have possibly written it after his suicide.
I think the main point I was trying to make is that it suggests he committed suicide rather than being killed. I could have chosen better phrasing. Obviously he wrote it before his death, but thanks for pointing it out for me.
I've always leaned toward suicide over assassination.
The assasination scenario is very Hollywood, but everyone in this administration is pretty incompetent and it would be pretty ballsy for someone with access to Epstein to do it. It's just not as likely as suicide, when the guy was looking at being behind bars for eternity.
Doesn't in any way imply Donald Trump isn't a child rapist though.
In the trump administration, yes. But there’s a fuckton of wealthy influential people who probably had already spent a lot of money keeping Epstein silent and would take the opportunity to keep him from cutting any kind of deal (like, throwing every democrat and non-loyal republican under the bus while swearing Trump had no idea about the girls.) Plenty of those people have the money to hire a prison guard to engineer a dead camera and a “suicide” and do it in a way that was deniable.
Is there any other way to read that if we didn't know he's dead? Like, maybe the short route home from prison would be to give up the location and code to his other secret safe with the video of Trump raping a 14 year old or sucking off Clinton
