Who cooks just an onion?
In a lot of recipes I start with just an onion (or onion with diced garlic), then add stuff later.
Most of the time I'm sauteing an onion before I even know what I'm gonna make

I know right?! Like, eat it raw baby. So sweet, so spicy, so goooooood.
I have an old Irish Canadian friend who said that their mother ate a raw onion every night before she went to bed. At it like an apple as a late night snack. The old woman went on to live to a hundred years of age with a completely sharp and aware mind.
