Thats the unibomber specifically. His manifesto is probably the punchline hinted here since it was very against the modern world.
The amount of people who would probably agree with the manifesto on Lemmy is probably higher than people expect.
Probably only the first little bit lmao. It starts sounding like something a MAGA influencer wrote today pretty quickly.
It was his methods that were somewhat problematic
No, not just his methods, unless you agree with shit like this:
Ngl this sounds like some of the most prominent .world posters.
Exactly, "The amount of people who would probably agree with the manifesto on Lemmy is probably higher than people expect."
It's just not the Tankies.
Wow. That's fascinating. Thank you for sharing it.
Ted could have done with someone explaining the concept of punching down to him.
That was the joke. Also that he seemed mostly like some sort of libertarian or precursor MAGA. That strong and successful quote aged like milk lol
I don't mean to discount the deranged ramblings in there, but I'd say the parts about technology and its effects on society (arguably the most central parts) are much more intriguing.
The leftists who agree with the unabombers manifesto are the ones who haven’t read it and have only heard he was anti technology. If you read it you’ll see he was a right wing nutjob who was also anti technology and racist too
Disclaimer that Tankies, for example, would promote it but not actually believe it.
Are you saying tankies don't like to shit on the west?
Tankies promote anarchism and violence in the west, promote authoritarianism at home.
