Seems Johnson knows this. Both him and Trump will keep this shutdown going to stop the forced release of these files it seems. Don't know what kind of plan they're cooking up though.

It was obvious this was the case when they fought so hard to prevent the release. They continued with it even when it's clear that the actions they're taking to keep it hidden it's damaging for them.

My bet is that there's video evidence of Trump raping a minor, or maybe a recording of him admitting it. I don't know what else could be more damning than that.

At this rate they're gonna keep this up until Trump dies.

[–] aramis87@fedia.io 97 points 1 day ago (5 children)

I don't know what else could be more damning than that.

Like their podcast "heroes", I'm just asking questions here, but:

What if Trump didn't just rape kids? He had beauty pageants where he admitted to walking in on naked teenagers to "inspect" them. He walked around "interviewing" contestants, asking them about their lives. He himself specifically chose a decent percentage of the finalists - and by claiming those spots for certain chosen people, significantly reduced the chances for other contestants. And there were not only the contestants, but a bunch of wannabe contestant-types on the fringes. And a lot of those contests were held overseas.

So, just asking questions here, but: what if Donald Trump wasn't just raping kids? What if he was actively involved in recruiting and trafficking them?

It's hard to speculate on things like that, but when he openly admitted to reporters that Epstein took girls from his spa, it means the investigation would have to be reviewing such

Perhaps Trump is also a cannibal; who knows, maybe... the man doesn't seem to have any morals at all.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Well we know his food preferences are worse than abysmal so. I doubt the cannibal thing unless the baby is well done with ketchup.

Still with trump it never gets better you know?

[–] phx@lemmy.world 8 points 20 hours ago

This was my thought as well. A lot of what has come to light feels like he may have been more than a customer for Epstein and possibly a supplier via his businesses and Russian criminal contacts

[–] mrmanager@lemmy.today 5 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

A guy like Trump would be involved in running the thing, not just using it. So makes sense.

[–] Alaik@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 hours ago

As heartless as this sounds.... that trafficking ring wouldn't have been successful enough to demand billionare clientele prices. This is the guy who bankrupted a casino.

[–] Auli@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

And what if he grabbed them by the pussy.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

Oh yeah he did that. Also stuck his fingers in their mouths to “check their teeth” per Noel Cassler.

[–] aceshigh@lemmy.world 49 points 1 day ago (3 children)

I think there’s evidence that they were more than just bffs.

[–] partofthevoice@lemmy.zip 96 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

I think there’s evidence that they were business partners in the trafficking operation. Trump owned children beauty pageants, he had girl servants at one of his resorts, reports of some of those girls winding up with Epstein… I bet there are financial transactions proving it.

[–] RaoulDook@lemmy.world 43 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yep, this is the big story in it I think as well. Sen. Ron Wyden has been investigating the Epstein financial ties and has uncovered billions in suspect wire transfers that several big banks bent the rules on for him.

[–] Clent@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 1 day ago

The reason for their fall out was because of these financial ties. They've admitted this part.

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 70 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump wasn't just a customer. He was Epstein's partner and Mar-a-Lago was a hub for international sex trafficking, including child sex trafficking.

They're not the Epstein files. They're the Trump files.

This is my thought as well. He has to be in there to such an extent that if they removed all mention of him, what was left would fit on a fucking post it. Otherwise they would have tried to release it with a few pages "lost" and blamed Biden.

[–] fonix232@fedia.io 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I don't know what else could be more damning than that.

Active participation in not just the rape but the trafficking operation, the big reveal being that he actually solicited these "services" to tons of so far unnamed people?

Remember this isn't just about Trump. He's protecting those padding his pockets and pulling his strings.

[–] ronigami@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Don’t forget killing. Maybe they pushed an underage girl out of a jet at altitude. Wouldn’t be off brand.

[–] AmidFuror@fedia.io 9 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Not easy or safe to the passengers on the plane. It also doesn't disappear the body.

Overall this seems like the least likely thing that could have happened.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Yeah i mean, he’s a coward too. Maybe on one of his coke fueled helicopter rides to Atlantic City tho.

[–] burntbacon@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 6 hours ago

I do sometimes wonder about some people's fantasies about planes. It would have been much simpler to kill someone on the island and use the gigantic amount of water to hide evidence. Simply putting a body in a 'shark cage' would be enough to have everything but the bones disappear, pushing it out to sea would almost certainly have it never be found, hell, simply doing with it whatever you do with the rest of your trash would probably work... like, when you own an island, the amount of ways you have to hide things is insane.

[–] fonix232@fedia.io 4 points 21 hours ago

Nah. He wasn't wrong when he said his followers wouldn't give a damn if he shot a man in the middle of Fifth Ave.

The only thing MAGA actually seems to genuinely care for - aside from their constant need to feed their rage and despicable beliefs like racism - is being against paedophilia. They might not care enough about kids to actually offer their tax money to ensure all of them gets to eat, gets proper education, but at the very least a majority of them doesn't want powerful men to rape them. Which, I guess, is a small win?

Therefore anything that is truly damaging to Trump will be kid-diddling related.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

There could be video of him and his mushroom penetrating someone underage and so many of his meathead cult members will claim it's "AI" or something.

[–] jjjalljs@ttrpg.network 16 points 1 day ago

The only thing that matters to them is in-group solidarity. They are bad people. That is a bad person world view.

[–] Typhoon@lemmy.ca 10 points 1 day ago

Or actively trafficking children.

[–] takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 19 hours ago

IMHO he wasn't just a client but a partner.

[–] Auli@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago (2 children)

How is that more dancing then what he has already said. Walking in on miss green US change rooms grabbing them by the pussy. He has literally admitted to sexual assaulting the contestants and nobody cares. Just like when/if these files come out nobody well care.

[–] Instigate@aussie.zone 4 points 18 hours ago

I don’t think that nobody will care, but I think the point you’re trying to make is that his supporters won’t care. That we can definitely agree upon.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

I don’t think that’s the case. He said both things but not at the same time. Those are two different gross stories getting mashed together.

[–] SPRUNT@lemmy.world 6 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

There actually IS a piss tape and it's underage girls involved. I'm sure Epstein's circle included unscrupulous Russian oligarchs.

[–] LadyButterfly@reddthat.com 1 points 7 hours ago

Yep. It's not "just" kids cos he could claim "he was drunk and didn't know their age!". It's worse. It involves piss, bestiality, torture etc.

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 3 points 20 hours ago

Examine the court documents involving Katie Johnson.

[–] theparadox@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

bet is that there's video evidence of Trump raping a minor

Just delay until AI video is good enough to claim it's AI.
