- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

The people that hire a ton of immigrants unerringly vote for the guy who promises to remove immigrants. What did you think was going to happen?
They were told that it would just be the criminals and gang members, and they were stupid enough to believe it.
Some? Maybe
Mostly it is just that their hate and selfishness overrides everything. It is the same reason that pro gun republicans still won overwhelmingly after the massacre in Uvalde and farmers keep voting for republicans no matter how much they get screwed over. Because as long as they can believe someone else is suffering more, they are happy.
I think you vastly overestimate how informed these people are on anything related to politics. Most of them don't think any further than, "vote red because that's what I was raised to do."

Damn, if only there was something in a program, maybe some sort of... project that would have warned them about it.
What a kwinkidink considering this:
JD Vance gets rich by owning an app (acretrader) that helps investors outside of the United States snap up real estate deals (including many family farms and rental properties) that are then owned by people who have never and will never see those places and who ONLY own those places to obtain money and power in our country.
Your question assumes capacity for forethought.
And the capability to empathize instead of just raw dogging every experience like it's a brand new thing that nobody could ever imagine or understand.
Here's the thing: they aren't asking for a reversal of the policy, they just want a fix to the problem. A solution that the criminal-industrial slave complex can provide...
"Arbeit macht frei" will soon adorn the farms that benefit from whatever solution this admin provides.
My favorite bit of the story:

Oh, I do understand. I think it's your farmers that don't understand, when it's time to vote.
