There are legitimate reasons not to use Linux, but the user interface is not one of them, Linux can be way friendlier UI-wise than windows, see Desktops like cinnamon.

if you want to be super cursed I've seen people replicate several of the windows UIs with desktop environment themes

The only issue I have with my Index is that linux somehow prioritizes it over my main monitor when booting so i have to plug it in after booting and then all works fine.

WiVRn from quest app store, wivrn desktop app. I also needed xrizer nightly for secondary gun mode to work in half life alyx. Can't guarantee much else though since I only really play beat saber.
