According to Wikipedia there are different sub disciplines for deadlifts but the highest record across all categories so far was 501 kg. So he added at least 9.7%. Really impressive.

The 501kg figure is highly contested depending on you ask.
Thor did that lift in his own gym, with the plates weighed by his father.
If the potential former world record is questionable and this new one isn't, then I'm even more impressed. ;)
The 18" deadlift is an entirely different lift from regular DL because it starts higher off the ground. These are just not comparable. Starting higher is much easier.
