For those who can't recognise this image, it is Mousolini and for those who don't know who this was, he was a fascist leader of Italy, who eventually failed and ended up functioning as a puppet leader for Hitler and got executed in 1945

It's a shame he was dead before they caved his face in.

If you were wondering like me, home girl there is his mistress, Claretta Petacci.

She and Benni were fleeing to Switzerland when they were captured by communist partisans. They were summarily executed together and were presented to the public, lying in state (on the ground in the town square) so the locals could pay their respects.

Afterwards their bodies were hung above a service station for a while before our unfortunate Marlon Brando look-alike was buried in an unmarked grave.
