Are you shooting in forest or something? Birds in cities, yes, and I even admitted it in my previous comment, so what's you on about?
And what do you mean people with pets or special needs are not able to protect themselves? Ever heard of a radio? One of many things you can use to drown out the shots for pets. Or are you just sitting your pets on the window and pointing at the beautifully ligthened sky while the poor pet shivers beside you, like psychopats?
And for people - headphones exist. It's literally one night a year.
So yeah, no harm done.
What a selfish and self centered argument.
You can repeat "no harm done" at the end of every comment, and it wouldn't change any of the data we have proving it does, in fact, a lot of harm
When I lived in LA it started a week early and on the 4th itself it was a fireworks show finale amount of fireworks for 8 hours straight.
But just turn on the radio.... right.
Maybe it's time to realize different places are different and there may be values to other people's perspectives even if they don't reflect your particular worldview.
