Have you talked to her and told her those kinds of "jokes" make you uncomfortable? If you have and she pushes back, then I think it's fair to question if you can be friends with someone who continues acting disrepectful even when asked not to.
But if you haven't brought it up, maybe it's possible she just needs someone to call her out and snap her out of it. Give her a chance to see if she can grow and change.

Try asking some deeper questions about why he still supports Musk now. Is he just trying to plug his head in the sand because he just likes Tesla/has a financial stake, or does he genuinely align with Musk's fascist leanings? Did he vote for Trump?
No one CEO can ruin it.
Right now we're seeing a cycle of people jumping ship from one corporate-owned platform to another, until that new platform inevitably turns to shit. But as long as people keep doing that, corporate-owned platforms will inevitably turn to shit. The only true solution is to cut corporations out of the picture with platforms that are designed to be unruinable.
As others have mentioned, mbin doesn't auto-upvote. I didn't even know that Lemmy does apparently. Seems like something that really ought to be standardized across platforms, because now it feels like mbin is at a 'disadvantage'.

While I'd prefer to fully dismantle the whole capitalist system, I can accept UBI as the most realistic compromise we're likely to get in our lifetimes.
The purpose of federation is to build a network that no one entity can control. An evil CEO can enshittify their own server, but the damage they would deal is limited to their server. The rest of the network would still exist outside of their control, and users can easily leave their server to go elsewhere.
